FNaF 3 | Main Game Beaten without Checking the Camera or Using Audio | Nights 1-5

Well, I got a lot of cleaning done as I went through this, but here's Nights 1-5 beaten in FNaF 3 without even checking the camera (or using audio). I never liked how random FNaF 3 was, but this was a step beyond the norm on what you'd get with at least some control of where Springtrap could be pulled.

BTW in FNAF 6, night time will end until you finish your job, so..... a night in FNAF 6 can be muck longer than real world, it can be a year or muck longer.

So with that said Foxy takes 3 to 4 seconds to get from starting his running animation to getting to the office, so by doing math that would actually take him 2 minutes or more to run a hallway not that fast Is It?

Some of those look-and-then-hide mechanics make me think that Scott retconned Springtrap's personality through the series. e.g. Night 5 at the end when he shows himself in the doorway and then pulls himself back into hiding when I drop the maintenance panel. Decided to try this for fun since I'd never beaten FNAF 3 and uhhh... I had some insane luck. Night 2 took me 5 attempts, night 3 took 2 attempts, night 4 took one attempt, and night 5 only took THREE attempts. The only extra thing I did was seal a vent at the beginning of the night - cam 11 for nights 1-4 and then I switched to sealing cam 14 for night 5. Anyway, I managed to finally beat this game using the absolute laziest strategy possible LOL. Thanks DJ Sterf :D EDIT: For a bit more context, I basically just followed this video and his Nightmare Aggressive video. Listen to ST's ambience level and vent audio, activate Freddy's jumpscare early on if you want - it eliminates him for the night, watch for ST's running animation, and try to not get a hiding/staredown phase until at least 5 AM so you can time your last reboot. I'm making it sound way more complicated but there's really not much to it lmfaoooo

You should attempt SL Custom Night w/o cameras. Most of the characters use audio cues anyway and I’m pretty sure the only threat would be the oxygen depletion, but then again since it’s mostly audio it doesn’t really matter that you can’t see, also unless Electrobab drains too much power to make that a possible run

This is my main problem with this game, you could be playing nearly flawlessly but then you make 1 or 2 tiny little mistakes and then you screwed, but then you can also not do basically anything and still survive the night.

Yeah... I remember beating Night 5 & 6 by just using the 2 audio lures and doing nothing at all, that was on mobile tho, nice to see you do this on PC. Also, will you ever attempt pre-patch 10/20 SL? EDIT: I’m probably gonna attempt Nightmare using this strategy and see how many attempts it takes (PC & Mobile) And if I do beat that I’ll probably attempt aggressive nights 1-5 just see how that goes. (For extra challenge no using ventilation at all.) EDIT (Again) Night 1: 0 Deaths Night 2: 32 Deaths Night 3: Night 4: Night 5: Nightmare:

Also -- depending on scaling, it might be within the realm of sane possibility to finish Nightmare while just tending to Ventilation, but not sure on the scaling differences between Night 5 and Nightmare/Night 6. You can always stretch the Springtrap last few rooms a little bit as long as Phantom Freddy isn't patrolling/trolling. But yeah, most of the Night 5 runs were pretty centered around the late-2 to mid-3 AM.

​@@djsterf So far without any micromanagement aka just starting the night and not moving, I've died 25 times on Night 2, usually between the 3-5 AM range. I'll see if tomorrow brings better results, however I know it's possible to beat Nightmare by not tending to ventilation whatsoever and just purely using audio lures.

OH -- you're not even moving? LOL! Like just sitting there. I was thinking of trying a run w/ No Errors like that. I think No Errors would make that totally doable. Phantom Freddy might hurt otherwise. Ignore the rest if it doesn't apply, I thought you were just trying this same method until I re-read the comment. --- (1) Make sure the Maint panel is up almost the whole night. I think it may affect how often events process, i.e. how often Springtrap moves...and Ventilation definitely goes about twice as fast if the maint panel isn't up. The only time to bring the panel down is either right after Springy runs across and Phantom Freddy isn't there, then flip up after about 25 sec and reset Ventilation, bring the panel down for about 25 sec, reset Ventilation, and then bring the panel down for the rest of the night. Timing isn't totally precise yet, but that's worked okay so far. Could be optimized a few seconds for sure. (2) There may be some unfavorable seed if you've died 25 times on N2 -- restart the game (F2) or close & reopen? (3) Also, don't have Ventilation reset going very often -- I think Springtrap may also move more during the resets.

Btw there was a version of the game (maybe it still isn't fixed, though i'm not sure) where you could do a bug to efortlessly clear ANY night. You need to start the night, press the windows button, then choose "Hybernation". Doing that makes everything (including the animatronics) stop working, EXCEPT THE TIMER. Honestly yeah there is no way this is not fixed yet, was such a game breaking bug

If I had to guess it's because the game clock works based on a timer that's basically a subtraction of your current OS time to the time when you started the night (stored at the start), and it's compared every second. I wonder if by this logic you could theoretically change your calendar/clock time and skip nights.

He-hey! Glad you came back for another night! I promise, it'll be a LOT more interesting this time! We found som-some great new relics over the weekend, and were out tracking down a new lead RIGHT NOW! So, uhh- let me just update you real quick, then you can get to work. Like, the attraction opens in like a week, so we have to make sure EVERYTHING works, and nothing catches on fire! Uhm, when the place opens, people will come in at the opposite end of the building, and works their towards you, and PASS you, and out the exit. Uh, yeah you've officially become part of the attraction. Uh, you'll be starring as... The Security Guard! So not only will you be monitoring the people on the camera as they pass through, you know, to make sure no one STEALS anything or, (makes out?) at the corner, but you'll also be a part of the show! It'll make it feel, really authentic I think. Uh, now let me tell you about what's new. We found another set of drawings, always nice, AND A FOXY HEAD! Which we think could be authentic! Then again, it might just be another crappy cosplay. And we found a Desk fan, very old school, metal though, so watch the fingers! Uh, heh! Uhm, right now the place is basically just, you know, FLASHING LIGHTS and SPOOKY PROPS. I honestly thought we'd have more by now, uh so if we don't have anything really cool by next week, we may have to suit you up in a (Freddy/Furry?) suit, and make you walk around saying: "BOOO!" Hehe. Uh, but you know like I said, were trying to track down, a good lead right now. Uh, some guy who helped design one of the buildings, said there was like, an extra room that got boarded up..? Or something like that. So! Were gonna take a peak, and see what we can find. Uh, for now just get comfortable with the new setup. You can check the security cameras over on your right, with a click of that blue button. Uh, you can toggle between the Hall cams and the Vent cams. Uh, then over on your far left, you can flip up your maintenance panel. You know, use this to reboot any systems that may go offline. Uh, in trying to make the place feel more vintage we have overdone it a bit! Heh heh. Some of this equipment is BARELY functional! Uh, I wasn't joking about the fire, that- that's a real risk. Uhm, but the MOST IMPORTANT THING, you have to watch for, is the Ventilation. Look, this place will give you the spooks man, and if you let that ventilation go offline, then you'll start seeing some craaazy stuff man, keep that air blowing! Ok, keep an eye on things, and we'll try to have something new for ya' tomorrow night..
