Thanks for your comment. Yes Doug C is gaggin' for a go.. lol ... watch this space!
Same people clicking thumbs down would of gone out and bought this before the Internet was around. Give a dickhead a platform and suffer their knowledge. Good to see britcore is still alive and well.
RIP was a 10 out of 10, instant classic. This one is an 8 for me. I dig the hardcore vibe of the music, but where is the scratching Soops? It aint hip hop without a dj cutting. Visuals are sick though, love the invisible man outfit. But I wish the video had more of a story. Like what was everybody doing chilling at HQ? Keep it up though. I wanna see what you do next. The audience is listening.
@DJSupremeUK7 жыл бұрын
Glad you like this one but did you really watch the video?? There is a story line if you watch a bit closer. Re: the scratching, did you check out what I said in the behind the scenes video on my FB page? Thanks for supporting.

Are the reasons for the bandages because dude spits nothing but flames OR because his rhymes are so cold he suffers frost bite? Either way: the track's dangerous! Is there an Antarctic Remix on the cards?
@DJSupremeUK7 жыл бұрын
Theres a concept behind the video which you might get if you watch more closely. We are already toying with the idea of dropping a video with commentary.
@byronis7 жыл бұрын
I definitely caught onto the fact that you seem pissed to have flown all the way from Zurich to London to meet with Ice Pick, and then he couldn't be found. You couldn't even contact him by phone. So, you called a meeting with the HQ to deal with the matter. Then spotted him in the tunnel at the end. The flash of the bandaged version at the end made me wonder if you are playing around with the concept of possession or schizophrenia. Maybe a Jack Jones/Ice Pick personality split. "From a scene in a dream, I met the Ice Pick. He said I choose you coz you got the potential. Not of this world, all I need is a vessel." As I recall, Ice Pick was a Jinn or Spirit that inhabited J's body, and used him as a tool. So, wonder if this is going to be on some Legion business, with the Shadow King inhabiting David's body, which was hard to detect because he was a schizophrenic with 100's of personalities and related abilities in the first place. This video also got me thinking of a 1997/1998 interview that Ice Pick did with 279, when he said you could not get in touch with him, and you had to write him a letter to make arrangements to link up. You definitely seemed as if you had had a heated exchange of words at the 4.28 minute mark in the car. The phone call scene had me laughing as I recalled that 1997 interview.

Where ever you end up taking it, great vid.
@Hunchy_TheSimGamer7 жыл бұрын
Byron, That's some very in depth analysis! Some interesting points raised. I thought the meaning was something more literal i.e. Icepick has been away from the scene for a long time and in effect he has become an anonymous or faceless person, hence the bandages. This is synonymous to how the early 90s UK hip hop scene has become in general - a largely overlooked and forgotten era. Even other UK hip hop artists walk past him oblivious and unaware of the faceless guy's true identity and disregard him. The HQ squad are discussing what might of happened to him, but nobody knows. Maybe Icepick is saying that although he disappeared from the scene, he never truly left in his heart and has always been there in spirit? His unmasking towards the end of the video marks his official "return". By the way, thanks for your contributions back in the day - I still have my copies of Ear to the Ground!
@byronis7 жыл бұрын
I think what you said is probably more in line with the message Supreme wanted to put out there, Hunchy. Makes a lot of sense. In fact, the bandage concept is directly synonymous with the Invisible Man, right? What got me wondering was that flash of the bandaged face at the end. It was like that scene at the end of Aliens 4! Very sinister!

In relation to the boldness and ferocity of the vocals, the beats and riffs show a little too much restraint. Nevertheless, the combative energy and pace and the dramatic sound collage make the track quite compelling and clever. I embrace that direction.
