Just done it. Got it adjusted as per manual feeler gauge on calliper to get it exactly 1mm clearance between arm and housing. Satisfying. But obviously that's just for people with a serious OCD like me. Second time your vids used for visual aid. So subscribed.

I've just looked at the workshop manual because I've put new callipers on. There is a preload that must be obtained in this case by looking at the calliper- Distance from mechanism arm to notch on housing must be about 1mm and must not exceed 1.5mm. Good vid. Very helpful.

Hi Alex how many hand break cables are on the rear as I nees to change mine please
@AlexTheGrumpyOne11 ай бұрын
Hi there. If I remember correctly there is one cable to each side and one in the middle that they join in to just before the handbrake lever.

So how do you adjust one if the other side is out?
@mrclean5320 Жыл бұрын
Probably not to do with ur handbrake mate. More likely an issue with the side not braking. Like the calliper pistons maybe or your pads need changing.

you fix whatevers wrong with the side that's out then you adjust them together
