Awesome video. Very informative. I've known many smaller companies that have made a good living off these bad boys. They may not throw that far, but definitely can get the job done for the smaller gigs. They were the gateway to bigger things for us. And for those who don't want to get too big, they're just fine to make a good living with.

Hey John, just wanted to say when rigging your PA try not to rig the slings in a manor that pulls the truss apart (hoist sling on top bar, PA sling on bottom). This weakens the truss. The PA sling should be choked on the top bar and the hoist sling choked on the bottom.

What happens to me a lot is DJ's will come up to me to tell me About their $ 10,000.00 Sound system and There $ 2500.00 Light System . I let them Know, That almost Cover the cost of my Snakes(copper) Sub Snakes , Mic Cables... They Look at me Like I am LYING to them .. Then They Show Me Pictures of the PEAVEY System they are Running at 2 Ohms . So they can Get all of the Power out of it they can . But Keep Blowing Up speakers and amps ...

The Cost of a Rider Friendly System is around $ 225,000.00 including the Truck .... The Prices are Based off of MAP Pricing for All of the Equipment and The Truck is Based off of what a 2018 Isuzu NQR with a 20 foot Box and Lift gate would be . This system is Based off of what I have and Use . Mine is a Little bit more because I carry 80 Mics with my System . All Mic Stands are K&M . They Last . All Copper Cables were Priced through , www.Audiopile.net as were all the Cases ... I do Around 250 to 300 events a year .. They Pay between $ 1250.00 to $ 3500.00 a Night .

Like your humbleness, great video. One observation, never hang anything heavy from the bottom chords of the truss. That puts the weld joints of the webs under stress. The truss is designed to be supported or hung from the bottom chords, and anything heavy hanging is supported by the top chords.

Power is expensive? Get some Lab FP10000/ 14000 clones from Gisen or Sanway. They run stable if you dont use them on 2 ohms, they deliver a huge amout of power, are cheap and they are easy to repair cause you just have to replace the boards. Also your rack is a lot lighter :) Greetings from germany, great setup!

I run 4 EV T252+ tops.....4 EV MTL-1X subs. ...with 4 EV Q1212 amps and the DBX PA2. Love it. I bought some of it new and some of it used. 4 tops..4 subs..4 amps..and xover ran me $6,600 Add in another 4K for cabling and road cases as well. Then another 4/5K for a good mixer laptops disk players and signal sources , plus back up gear. Don't forget about transportation for all that gear. Shit starts adding up quick.

.I think you are on the right track. If you want to compete with natl.companies watch out when you get outbid by big money sound companies that will try to put you out of business. A big Sound Contractor can take you Show Season Contracts by doing them for free as a write-off. Where as to you they are your bread and butter. Be careful on who you compete with in your area. You taste in gear is only based on your own limited experience. Don't suggest brand names and keep it friendly.

These speakers will rock even more powered by crown I tech 5000 HD. They are the only a,p to use fir processing on these VRX. Not even the powered versions of these VRX have FIR. It’s an immense upgrade over the DBX 360. The xti amps are not good... we have a service contract with 50 of these over Chicago (we did not install) over last 2 years 12 failed. Keep EV on the subs if you want.

I don't know if you've done this yet but I hear that you said you've done some venues and one of the things I would say if you haven't already you know you get your back line equipment I don't know if you noticed or not but I just filled with throw it out there your precautions as far as your drums congas guitar amplifier bass amplifier and AR instrument amplifier and I honestly want you to set up stage what's the equipment that you already have cuz that's perfect stage equipment stagewise that's perfect I got cannot say it enough that's perfect because you could short throw those top boxes and you can feel the stage real comfortable and make it warm but when it comes to doing concerts especially outside you need some boxes that beckon throw you know if I'm standing 400 feet away and I can't feel those boxes you ain't looking for nothing I hear what you saying but I'm just telling you you need something like a w been empty or full but a lot and have never really gotten them running the way that they're designed to run because they don't understand how the run them they never read no I won't say they wouldn't bought it and they didn't research how the Box actually operate Howard how it performs a lot of times people saying no to empty or full boxes while I'm going to tell you I like the empty or full box the reason why I like the empty or full box is good to the sound that you can get out of it what's the pressure wave that you can get out of empty or full boxes you can't be anything of it is this the distance that you can feel that pressure wave from an empty L4 box specially when you get like 16 of them out on the ground and yeah you can buy in o m t l Ford used and a lot of times and in all honesty I get it a lot of people don't like using those boxes to heavy they were like 300 Salon pounds but anyway I'm a pretty big guy and all the time that I've been running down those pretty much where the boxes that I used so yeah I'm a pretty strong guy at that too cuz I moved them around by myself I've built these double 18 boxes Lefty's monster 18in drivers with the with no double magnet in fact I'm just going to say the water just the RMS is 2400 the peak is 4800 a lot of folks would say hey you know how you going to get that much power out of two drivers 8 it's done I'm telling you an old amplifier like a crown 5000 and these drivers together even if you can remove it to it 6000 amplifier these drivers would have it and the reason why I haven't the boxes of double plated well I double plated them for one thing I don't know if you've ever seen what strength in pressure 18 inch drivers can create when put it this way 18 inch speaker drivers can't create so much pressure wave that it could take a three-quarter inch plywood and move it like a couple of inches and it could be a 3 by 3 piece of plywood how I know this cuz it got a funny story I blink out and come back

Any recommendations on much higher, more “audiophile grade” monitors and related support at least quality complementing to Schertler and Jackson Ampworks ? JBL and QSC doesn’t do it for what we’re looking for.
