For those who don't know, in South Korea they eat a seaweed soup on their birthday. The reason why they eat it it's because women, after giving birth to their children, eat this soup as it's really good for their health ; so ppl eat this soup on their birthdays as to remember and be grateful to their mothers who gave birth to them.
