Too many themes on a single level. Ship, jungle, mountain, all at once. Quick theme change - from jungle to desert. Lots of blind jumps on early levels. Looks good but need more polishing.

Yeah, Leandro is right. There was a good video done where a guy interviewed the 5 different members of the original team and they talked about game design and the purpose behind the roll mechanic and how every enemy was set to be programmed in exactly a way such that if the player knows what they are doing they should be able to always be moving forward with stopping. Only hesitation results in waiting, etc. Excellent work up to this point, though. Very happy to see someone with some experience working on such a project.

This level is FANTASTIC and a great way to start off DKC4. Seeing all the Level 1’s sort of blend together is a bit magical! Platforming was pretty good for being the first level, nothing crazy. GREAT music too omg. Solid!the desert was a weird choice for level two but the enemies fit the feel and overall, it was well done! Seriously. Good job team!

its a demo, as in this they werent focusing on world building but to be fair DKC games have had stark contrasting areas before, like bramble heaven in the murky swamp, or a snowy retreat right after the lakeside stages.

When I first saw this, I was all like :o! This needs to be official! The levels are very original, and so are the names. The music sounds just like a David Wise soundtrack! And the whole switching between Kongs thing was very creative! I would kill if this was on a gaming console!

I really, REALLY wish the team behind this would find a way to release "Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return" in Super Nintendo Cartridge hardware form. I bought "Super Mario World: Return to Dinosaur Land" and "Super Demo World: The Legend Continues" game cartridges last year for Christmas, and I was thrilled beyond words...... Would gladly - SO very gladly - add "Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return" to complete my collection.

It's a good start but it needs more polishing! Tiny Kong being playable is a nice touch and if that sprite is polished up I'd like to see her playable with the other Kongs as well. Also Adding Cranky and the older Tiny and renaming her as well as Funky would be a nice touch. But That might be a bit TOO ambitious... More Themed stages would be nice too.

This version looks so good. Although sometimes it can be weird due to different environments in the game. However, it's very well done. Congratulations. I don't know why Nintendo didn't do a new DK like this one if there is more advanced technology to do an amazing new version of this game. Maybe in the future Nintendo gives us a new 2D version of this franchise.

I can definitely feel the love for the original games. Not sure about the desert tho. Pay some more attemtion to the aesthetics (waterfall levels in dkc3 and gostly grove design in dkc2 were beautiful) and polish a bit and it will be masterful.
