Hello, sometimes when driving my dkw rt 250s it slips out of gear. Will replacing the clutch plates fix this? And do you know how many plates i need to order?

hello Unfortunately clutch disc are not problem, problem is little trickier . Gear shift mechanism has several small moving parts ,and one part has 4 mm axle ,that axle is used up (now is probably 2 - 3 mm ) . This engine had the same problem ,and it was solved with new axle . I'm assuming that your engine have the same issue . If not ,the problem is still in the gear shift mechanism ( one of those small parts is defective ). Repairing this problem requires almost complete engine disassembly ( to be able to get to the gear shift mechanism )

Hey, I've got a RT 200H and have an issue with the engine. It does run but it doesnt pull, like there is no power. Would you happen to know what could cause this? The engine, exhaust, and Carb are overhauled.

Hello ,if everything is overhauled my guess is that the problem is in the carb . From personal experience, replacement parts for Bing carb sometime are not good. I bought repairing kit for my Nsu Max carb ,and I could not tuned the engine with refurbished carb .I had another carb (all original used parts ) ,I installed that one on the engine and it worked excellent . I also restored Dkw 250 ,and had similar problems .I solved this problem by replacing main nozzle (doesn't remember was it bigger or smaller that original ) .

@@oldtimer-Z thanks for the heads up. I´ll look into the carb. How tall is you isolation plate between the carb and the zylinder head? That is the only part i have not brought new......yet.....

@@gustavgnadenlos4371 If you mean the thickness of the gasket , it is 2 mm thick .
