So you can't really compare it to sports but DLs view that if you don't perform anymore, you can't be a goat I disagree. By his logic nobody who's performing anymore can be considered a goat. I agree with Katt Williams as far as Eddie Murphy not doing standup anymore. But if you see Eddie Murphy on a talkshow, when he wants to be funny, he is still hilarious. I’ve watched a number of comedians on talkshows, few that just make you laugh when they want to turn it on, Dave Chappelle comes a close second. The Late Robin Williams is also an hilarious guest on talk shows as well. Come to think of it, Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams are the only two comedians I remember , who had the ability to make the camera crew laugh on any talkshow.

There's truly great comedians out there with 2-3-4 times as many specials as Eddie. I love Eddie's specials. I grew up playing the records(maybe that's why I'm messed up lol). Still I don't think they were leagues ahead of the competition like that. I used to laugh just as hard at paul Mooney before all his stuff became super hard to find. Here's an example of where Katt may have been going with this... Dirk's title in 2011 may be the most difficult/impressive in history. Swept Kobe, gentleman's swept Durant and Westbrook, then beat Lebron's big 3 in Miami. That's Eddie Murphy Raw. I understand what they are saying but doing something a lot of times that doesn’t amount to this guys 1 doesn’t make you the goat it just makes you more consistent 🤷🏾‍♂️ Eddie obviously has a different focus why I do think he’s the goat comedian when you look at every aspect I don’t think he’s the best stand up ever but he’s certainly a top 5 in that category
