you should also be able to connect your midi keyboard/worstation tone module .. with midi cables and set the beat thang to a midi track ...and record what you play to the beat thang

can you usb this to logic ? will it start playing when i hit play on logic via usb hook up to my daw. or is it only midi out from it to usb via a midi to usb adapter. thanks

FORGET ABOUT SYNCing TO a DAW! They never answered this question, the same question I had... well I bought it and NO midi support from a Daw. I called tech support and I swear there was only like one guy who ever answers the phone. I have to freehand sinc the tempos by starting and stopping the Beat Thang till it is in sinc. After I record I have to bounce to usb and bring it to Cubase. Other than that it's pretty nice...that and the fact that quantizing a track covers the whole track. You can't have 16th quantization and then add something on the same track with a different quantization. The entire track has to be quantized the same.
