Find MSFS2024 (watch for the different graphics background and update the DLSS and the interpolation library (.dll files) to the latest.
Registry tweak to show version installed (entry can simply be deleted to remove this when needed but be careful around with editing the registry).
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore and right-click on the white area to the right - select New DWORD (32-bit) Value. That brings up a file with a name to be completed. Name this 'ShowDlssIndicator'. Set the value of this to 1024 as decimal - there is a blue button so you can indicate that this value is decimal, and close RegEdit.
Final Verdict: Does DLSS 4 Improve MSFS 2024?
After several days of testing, I think this is the clearest example of how DLSS 4 can enhance visuals in MSFS 2024. Sharper cockpit text - and it has not done any harm whatsoever.

Point of correction: it is "ShowDlssIndicator" That is a small letter "L", not a capital letter "I", So it's DLSS (not DISS) but with only the D capitalized. Show DLSS Indicator.

Ryzen 3700x 2080 super have done this and at high end I'm getting 60 80 FPS and smooth 1440 p. 30 50 on ultra settings. Easy to do and worth it.

Two points: First, I’m not sure why some folks load up the app and MS2024 is available and supported, yet many others, including myself can’t get to show supported after many attempts. Second, I reverted to DLSS 3 after stuttering and artifacts with 4. The 310.1 preset J was great, but the 310.2 and preset K give me performance issues. I’ve spent hours fiddling since the driver/dlss 4 release, and it’s tiring. I just went back and will wait and see.

you are correct, i tried dlss swapper nvid inspector everything, after updating the files 2024 runs maybe 2 times then afterwards it crash's, constantly, then it starts doing full crash reboot, bluescreen , i re installed windows 3 times just to make sure & each time it leads to crashing the pc, it got so bad, that my recovery partion got corrupted , had to make a bootable usb, which then kept getting stuck any how finally was able to fully re install and tried again and sure it crashed again after doing the nvid inspector adjustments. so ill stick with the original 3.7 dlss.. @@tonitoni9197 interestingly, the new driver/dlss combination work fantastic in 2020. It’s just a mess in 2024. I am hopeful something improves.

On the 3070 I don't have the possibility to open anything of the override settings and select it on nvdia app once I am inside the flight simulator label

Uninstall and re-install the Nvidea app. This solved this for me.

Well fortunate for me I don’t need the DLSS swapper the Nvidia app work for me with preset K and the latest driver version of course with Microsoft flight simulator 2020 I don’t know about 2024 because I don’t have it

It is the same in MSFS2024 as long as you modify in the NVIDIA App that it allows DLSS override

Well, VR would be great, if switching to VR didn't reduce my FPS from 80 down to 30. Heck, just having the headset plugged in to the GPU and not active will kill my FPS in pancake mode. My understanding is it's a memory leak issue. No telling how long it will be before that is fixed. But everything does look WAY better with DLSS 4 in VR. Ghosting is still there on displays, but it's greatly reduced.

On the 4070 TI ,it is still awful get much better quality and performance with TAA. Maybe im doing something wrong

same here -my 4070Ti Super runs at 60-80fps with all Ultra settings in TAA. Smooth with crystal clear dials / scenery

You’re not missing anything. TAA is still the best when it comes to visuals. Everything is just more crisp. TAA+Frame Gen, end of story! 👍

Agreed. Ditch the bloated nVidia App and use DLSS Swapper to update to 310.2.1. Then use nVidia Profile Inspector to enable Preset J or Preset K. The result has been great for me using DLSS Quality. Ground artifacts are gone, the numerals on glass cockpit displays are almost as clear as with the performance-crippling TAA, and overall texture clarity is much better than with DLSS 3.
