UP did not score for the last 6 minutes until the Lopez put back. All the while i thought UP always had the edge in terms of execution down the stretch because of past finals appearances. But it was nelle and KQ who made the big shots for DLSU and thrived in the moment

Hi Navs & Nico! UP lost because it did not execute properly in the last minute. 1:08:00 - Lopez threw a long pass pass beyond the reach of Diouf who was free in front of the UP goal 00:39:00 - Abadiano drives in even though there are already three DLSU players at the UP side of the court including KQ who blocks him and the ball bounces off Abadiano. 00:19:02 - KQ makes a wrong pass to Cansino who passes to Alarcon but he hurriedly makes a three point attempt even though defended (00:10:60) 0007:40 - Inbound pass by Nelle is caught by Abadiano but he cannot control the ball and passes to KQ who is immediately fouled by Cansino. The score was 70-67 with 4:12 minutes remaining. UP had not scored for two minutes. Both teams were only able to score in the last seven seconds.

Yes, both teams didn't execute well offensively in the final minutes. Big time defensive plays as well by David and KQ.

The main question na obvious naman is sino papalit sa mga spots na iniwan nina Evan, Mark, Kuya Ben, and Joaqui? But the great thing about DLSU is these players train with the team for a long time in Team B kaya nadedevelop din ang skills and chemistry ng team mula pa sa Team B Hanggang sa main team. If KQ Stays, DLSU will have a big chance of making it back to back, but if KQ chose to accept offers abroad, UAAP 87 will be a wide open title race! Let's see what unfolds for not just La Salle, but to all UAAP schools next preseason. Super great analysis Guys!

DLSU turnaround happened in the 1st Round game against UE 2nd half when Caloy took over and played the bench players like Poli and Raven. This was their breakout game

Still i did not understand why JD and CJ was benched during the dying minutes of game three where rhe gane is still close and i guess just a one possession, if JD or CJ was there on the court they could have create some shots and possibly restore calmness on Maroon's player's on the court,.UP now has BBB i .feel.for their legions of supporters falling short again Back to Back Bridesmaid finish

@@tigacaintaYes and no, their best Pg wasn’t is his best form, might have been his worst performance of the season, he couldn’t handle the pick and role blitz lasalle was giving. Cansino being a liability was really enough to put him on the bench, he wasn’t hitting anything the whole game. Just my two cents

Maybe having too much firepower is bad because you just think everyone could score, but to me JD couldn’t keep pace with this specific DLSU team in the defensive side and the offensive side. My two cents lang from the green side 😁

Your thoughts on UP showing up late to the awarding ceremony? Also, some players took off their medals before the photo op 🤷‍♂️ I have to commend you on your insights this finals series and for the whole season. Have you considered joining UAAP as an anchor?

Didn't read much into it. A lot of emotions take place after a series as tough as that. Thank you so much for your kind words. Perhaps one day I'd be able to join the league as an anchor. :)

Too much cooks will spoil the pot. Fighting Maroons have the better collection of players including the best FSA vs La Salle, but DLSU simply has the better team. They played as 1 fighting unit as the concept of a Whole is greater than the sum of its parts hold true with this Green Archers.

10 almost guaranteed spots for LaSalle next season, including all the champions aside from Isaiah + Agunnane + if KQ comes back which I think he will. I would personally put in DJ Mitchell if he wants to come back, Rhyle, Alao, Rubico, Vhoris. Justin Buenaventura looks good but idk, filams will be having a hard time adjusting. There’s still Alian, Gaspay, Romero, etc etc. So really, goodluck to the recruits.

You're losing Ben P, Nelle, Nonoy and Escandor, and possibly KQ. So that's five slots left (I am assuming Agunanne replaces Nwanko) Personally, I think Gaspay and Rubico are sure things. One of Alian or Alao will make it. Then probably Melencio. But they really need another reliable big.

This LS vs A rivalry has its roots back in the late 1800s when the Christian Brothers and Jesuits of America had a serious dispute that the Vatican had to intervene and mediate for.
