So there it is. The pinnacle of my Line Rider career. A masterpiece, you could say, haha. Reflecting back on this, this track took a surprisingly short amount of time to make. A month's work poured into any singular piece is certainly a long time, yeah. But I'm actually impressed with myself to get it done well under what I'd expect it to take, which is approximately three to four months, averaging across my works. Well, it's time to close this chapter of my life; my LR golden days are over. A new chapter may begin again some time in the near or far future, though I doubt I'll peak this. Until then, thank you everyone for joining me on this journey, it's been a pleasure.

0:00 - 0:26 I love the introduction of flatsled with minimal quirk, really lowers the viewer's expectation as to what they're about to experience 0:27 - 0:43 Very smooth manuals, which have the speed on point, slow enough to read the logos (which are graphologically beautiful), but fast enough to continue the growing pace of the track 0:44 - 1:05 The use of "minimal" quirk again highlights the song well enough to show that the tempo is fast, but the noise of the musical instruments is minimum 1:06 - 2:45, 3:48 - 4:28, 10:10 - 10:25, 11:16 - 11:37 HOW many fling and chain positions do you have in there?! 2:46 - 2:56 pog noro 2:56 - 3:16 how long did this take?! (and are any of the 10 pcs generated?) 3:16 - frequency hotline anyone? 3:17 - 3:37 Very unique use of pinches within the same camera frame to animate around the other pinches, imo it adds a sense of geometrical beauty to quirk 4:36 - 4:38 Nifty how the scarf position (boshes y momentum) changes with the music 8 count, was that intentional? 4:47 - 4:57 the hand-drawn curve manuals serve as a nice transition back into fling mayhem 4:59 - 5:08 flings, except with a touch of gigaquirk? :o could be foreshadowing 5:09 - 5:28 the xy fits suupper well with the pixelated theme of the song during that timestamp 5:24 pog xy mjual 5:29 - 5:49 I like the music visualizer, although it looks kinda lazy imo, but at that point I understand its purpose to be a break transition from quirk to heavier (giga) quirk 5:48 - 5:58, 6:39 - 7:00, GIGAQUIRK POGGG 6:00 - 6:12 the z again fits well with the song, this time sounding like a distorted version of the earlier pixelated themed part 6:19 - 6:38, 7:25 - 8:43 more music sync, but this time I like the feel, reminds me of Open 7:00 - 7:16 pog temp stall (faked me out) 7:20 - 7:40 this track just gets better and wilder! I liked how you were able to make a curvily distorted piece of pixel art and layer on a smooth manual recycle, giving this track its uniqueness and charm 8:45 such a seamless transition from highspeed upward into slow, smooth manuals, tripped me out 8:46 - 9:25 wow and then it just reverses that entire process of slowing down back into speeding up! 9:26 - 9:36 definitely noticing your previous tracks leaking ideas into this one, this part especially reminds me of your tandem riders track 9:48 - 10:08, 11:38 - 11:56 KRAMUQUIRK POGGG 10:34 BETTER THAN TTC TEMP STALL AHHHHHHHHH 11:00 - 11:15 6TH IT POGGG 11:57 - 12:07 again with the back and forth animated quirk, looks more like a Mario level transitioning up and down layers 12:16 - ∞ GIGAQUIRK KRAMUAL SYNCED INFINITE RECYCLE POGGGGGGGG *Looking back on my comment progression, I'm able to clearly see how your trackmaking skills reflect that of your musical knowledgeability, with your trackmaking composition having rhythm and pattern to fit perfectly to any song, making you all the more a fantastic creator *Some of the POGGG moments a little less impressive when you say invincibility on, but POGGG nonetheless :) TL;DR this track is on my top ten of all tracks in line rider history

120, that was my heartrate while watching this track, standing still, watching a youtube video. Freaking awsome So you know when you get bored, and then you find something monotonous to do but you put all of your time into it just because there's nothing else to do? Yeah me neither, but I've overanalyzed the crap out of this because English writing assignments suck. First off: 0:35 cleanly executed in-track title screen, can't say how much I love in-track titles 0:01 smooth flatsled and manuals, enjoy it while they last because they're about to go on a quick vacation to make way for... 0:45 the first jump into the meat of the song which just ends up being an intro on top of the intro while also showcasing how simply this song will be synced and how bare bones it is... wait a second 1:05 The first "phrase" of what I will call "flyby syncing" which almost certainly has a real name but will nonetheless refer to your usual style of 100 p/f chains, flings, manuals, and singularity cannons. This segment is great in a slow burn type way where it never syncs every note (we'll get to that later), but instead follows the general direction of the music 1:46 is the moment I realized this isn't the flyby style I'm used to, with more elements being synced, fewer cannons, and the most perfectly placed rolls that work so well aaaahahaha 2:47 With the intro and first segment done in such a way that it could easily be a standalone track, we move on to a gap with so little happening I had flashbacks to my own projects. This break from the action is well executed and definitely necessary, the perfect setup for... 2:57 The second part moves out of flyby and goes into an amazing compact section. Cannon spam that fits, flippy and jaunty xy that freaking rocks. Imo the sync isn't as fully realized as it could've been, but then again I don't care it's freaking amazing 3:15 The moment my jaw hit the floor for the first time and I realized this ain't your causal track, you're pulling out all the stops 3:17 The third sector is just fun to watch, back and forth three times syncing perfectly with the music and refusing to give me a chance to pick my jaw up from the floor 3:40 end of the third bit, I think I remembered to blink around this time 3:45 begins the fourth division, back to the flyby style syncing, but wait! it syncs freaking everything in the melody from the note changes with fun little spins and snappy rotations, to the freaking synth vibrato. I love this, the peak of flyby 4:28 I thought that was it, I thought the kramual was going to gracefully slide into a snazzy stall and call it a day. I was disappointed, I wanted more. 4:47 There was more, this ten-second manual glide made me so happy to watch, it is one of the smoothest pieces of any track I've ever watched 4:58 The start of another flyby segment, but it syncs at an even higher resolution with the melody, and percussion, and other parts of a song that I don't know the names for... amazing 5:08 OII inspired xy, not much more to say, other than its amazing and fits SO well 5:25 building up speed, visually interesting, and creative. you know not all of those are needed for a pinch right? 5:48 remember what I said about the peak of flyby? yeah, I was wrong back then. Not only did this partition send my jaw to the floor for a second meeting, but it could also easily be one of my favroite tracks without music all on it's own. It's too good 6:09 I'm skipping a segment because I don't have much to say that I haven't already, but you *do* know you don't have to make the pinch itself sync either... right? 6:19 ok then... fine 6:20 Real talk, this is awesome, well synced with visuals that feel like they are the song layed out in front, only broken up by breif percusion interludes, probably my least favrote part of the track, and still had me hooked. 7:00 Again I found myself sad that it was over, hoping for a temp but untimately dissapointed in the ending. Beutiful fake out, never been so hapy for bosh to fall into the abyss. 7:20 Enough breif high speed manual to make it an omnitrack and move on, love it 7:45 More specific scenery sync, personally not my favroite use of lines but ultimately enjoyable and fun to watch with a great buildup to the final segment. 8:25 syke! color change, and slowdown into a callback to the intro that gets you pumped because you know what's after it is going to be good. no to mention the segment itself is yet another that could stand as it's own track. 9:25 AHAHHAHAHAHHA so good amazing use of 10pcs and they're most likely not generated. Amazing 9:35 see? there's a normal pin-- dangit you synced that too 10:08 Flyby that somehow feels earned, it's been long enough without it, that when it pops back in it's in full swing and yet again is so perfectly synced 10:30 thought for sure that this was the end, perfectly earned, perfectly excuted, ready to call it a good one and head back in. but nope we've got two whole minutes left, heck yeah 11:00 6th it? invincibility? whatever it is, this is flyby taken to the extreme and it's so well done 12:19 ending with a stall that would make HAM proud So consider this revenge for making me read though your paragraphs on my videos :P, in the end, this is not just a good track, it's good art. it's times like these that make me wish there was a bigger community to watch these types of tracks, whatever views you get wont be enough 4/10 red line -Pype

Just had a watch through your The Devourer Of Gods synced Line Rider track (Wi-Fi did not die on me, which is nice for once). I don't play LR, so I don't know how insane of a task this was, but even still, that was so cool to watch. I could watch that again like forever, there were so many intricate details and Bosh literally had to have died a couple times to finish riding the whole track. I think around 5:48 - 5:58 and then 6:39 - 7:00, Bosh actually just zoomed off, like that's just cool. But I think my favourite part of the whole thing, as cool as the track was and I liked all of it, don't worry, was the part from 8:45 - 9:25, the transition from the fast, sporadic movement that occurred earlier in the track to the slow, calm movement was brilliant, and it really built up the tension. I also really liked the part from 9:25 - 9:44, cause the movement was so synced with the music. Overall, despite me not knowing what half of the mechanics were that you implemented, it's very obvious that you put your heart and soul into this track, and personally, I'm 100% sure that it's paid off. Great job Arglin, and hopefully you keep producing insane stuff like this, and frankly, it's just breath-taking to watch.

There's just something so epic about this scene at 10:56 Seeing line rider, maybe even childhood character to some (like me), putting such intense fight. The way every part of him is used and stretched across makes it seem like he is giving it his best, whilist at the same time pushed to his limit to defeat his greatest foe. It's seriously beautiful track in many different ways.

I have no idea how big of a task this was. But to this for somebody's birthday who could be suffering from a mental issue, is absolutely awesomely insane. For those who don’t understand this persons true madness: This project went form late august to October 5, so I’ll call that 40 days. That is 960 hours, or 57,600 minutes, or 3,456,000 seconds. This project also contains about 1,600,000 lines. So, assuming this guy took ZERO breaks for food, sleep, etc, they had to place about 1 line every TWO SECONDS. Even assuming some level of copy-pasting of lines throughout the map to get it done, that’s an insane level of dedication.
@Arglin2 жыл бұрын
Someone in the community actually did the stats for this as well! Though, I no longer have their data with me. If I recall correctly, the average amount made for a map in this very glitch-heavy style is roughly 4 to 5 seconds or around 500 ~ 2500 lines placed on a good day. In the final week alone, according to then, I apparently averaged roughly triple to nearly quadruple that at 15 seconds a day. Σ(゚Д゚;

I'm struggling a little to describe how impressed I am by this track, but words such as "floored" "awed" "inspired" and "stunned" convey at least part of my reaction. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this.

A God does not fear death, and apparently this little Line Rider does not either. Breathtakingly phenomenal.

I can not describe the effort that has been put in this work, because there are no words that exist so they could explain the love, pain and time that it did require. This is just true art!

Ok so first of HOLY FRICKING HELL THIS WAS AWESOME! This takes a whole nother level of skill and the music is PERFECT boss music for a boss you know will absolutely DEMOLISH you. And second I know the high school pain man I’m finishing my Senior year now and if you are too then congrats but if not a word of advice, things can and will get hard so you just have to pay attention and bust through it cause afterwards you will be glad you did. And this applies to everyone else too, so keep on pushing with a Positive Mental Attitude (or PMA for short). So to finish this I hope everyone is doing well and I wish you all hello from my Shadow Fortress.

I’m neither a Line Rider person nor a Terraria person. I’d never heard of this channel, boss, song, or composer. But even I can recognize this as an absolute masterpiece. Bravo, my friend. Bravo.

This is seriously impressive, the technical skills required to not only build, but run the track, the time required, the understanding. I do some midi stuff, to me this essentially looks like a Midi Chart spread out on an X/Y field to me. Never really considered that one could make a GAME out of that.

biblically accurate representation of fighting DoG and his sentinels: getting thrown around at high velocities being forced to withstand insane amounts of G force praying to live long enough to see the next phase. (jokes aside tho this is insane, gave me chills hardcore. i love DoG's theme the most and you just helped me love it more. incredible work man, well done.)

I should mention, actually: There seems to be a mild issue with the song chosen: Yes, this is related to the Devourer of Gods in the Terraria Calamity mod... But this version is an endless mix, which also utilizes the themes for the Sentinels as well! Just to clear that up for any confused.

LRR have an unflinching "art focused" agenda. Which, honestly, I support most of the time -- I love I Can't Ride These Lines Without You far above any technical track, this one included -- but I agree that this track definitely should have been an exception. HAM got in for sending a message with gigaquirk, and this track sends a louder and stronger message with the same gigaquirk but somehow also makes it look graceful at the same time. It's art, even if the average viewer lacks the literacy to appreciate it.
@Arglin3 жыл бұрын
@@FatedHandJonathon Just saw this now. As you've already stated, the "Top 10 tracks of 2020" run by the LRR team is heavily art oriented. As a result, there's actually a different Top 12 of 2020 that is made by the most active members of the community which should give you a better idea of the community as a whole's perspective on what the Top 12 tracks of 2020 were from a broader span of viewpoints. (Note that neither Top N Tracks are necessarily an accurate depiction of what the entire public both from inside and outside of LR would rank the tracks as.) You can check it out here if you two are interested! kzbin.info/aero/PLqo9uElgUvDkBkdkWtpnZIk2GyQvybUZ6
