I have 2 Walthers Ore docks that are 8' long and 4 tracks wide. I built them in the late 90's before my divorce. Guess where they are now and have been for 20 years? In my storage unit collecting dust because I don't have room for them on my layout. There is nothing wrong with the dock on this layout.

Any thoughts on making your oredock a protypical 4 track oredock?

In the interest of space, I wasn't able to consider doing a truly prototypical version. I have seen a video of someone that built a complete ore dock in HO scale with 4 tracks and is 16 feet long. That was impressive. I shot for reminiscent of the real thing.

@@CarlSamuelson , you have room, plus you don't need chutes. But it's your layout. I'm just saying, as a guy who has studied ore docks and have worked shoving ore up on the docks.....you need 4 tracks

The layout my dad and I built has been taken down now, so there won’t be any future work on the ore dock. We got the look we were after. It was good enough for us.
