One cool thing you can do with the dividers I guess is to make them a bit rounded on corners and make a cork base for them to make wooden supports to showcase partial covering spots and to show where support beams for the ceiling are. So there's also that too.

How would you do caves with this system? I've considered some kind of fabric stitched into a wall shape stuffing them with sand and dropping them into place

So many different glues are used for various things when watching you, Black Magic craft and DMG (my 3 go to crafting youtubers currently)..how do you decide as a new crafter which glue is best for each situation? My process goes something like this...."So many glue options, what should I get?? Oh I know, glue gun!" (because other than normal white glue that's all I have lol)
@theDMsCraft
@theDMsCraft 6 жыл бұрын
Gluegun works on most stuff but may not work on plastics and metals unless you drag the glue up on the object to secure it. White glue is great for wood and cardboard and Goop or E6000 works great on metals and plastics,
@theDMsCraft
@theDMsCraft 6 жыл бұрын
also a warning....do not use goop or E6000 on styro (it will melt)

Thanks! I am currently doing mostly cardboard crafting but did pick up some foam board and 1/2 insulation foam stuff for an idea I am kicking around so I will keep it in mind. Working my way through your videos and love them, glad I found them!
@toddwells2383

You mentioned covering the sides so the foam core didn't melt, but you didn't show how you covered them. Was it with glue or cardstock to sticks?
@theDMsCraft
@theDMsCraft 8 жыл бұрын
I just cover with PVA white glue and let dry.

Hey so I've been wondering, how do you keep the exposed foam core on the inside of the door frame from melting in the spray paint? Did you cover that with while glue also? And if so, how do you do that without glueing the mini dowel in place?
@theDMsCraft
@theDMsCraft 6 жыл бұрын
Good question, you can carefully cover in white glue or prepaint it with acrylic craft paint.
@heartlessmachine17
@heartlessmachine17 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your swift reply scotty ^^ The acrylic craft paint will not 'lock' the dowel in place then? I'll definitely give that a try. Also your whole channel is awesome dude
