Which is always one of the most difficult things to manage, especially for young coaches with few experience. More comparable would be the situation in the Championship, where Burnley was one of the favorites. And Kompany made it work extremly well. Bayern is also one of the favorites in the Bundesliga... So this situation should fit him more and let's be honest, it is easier for the manager... I think the job at Burnley this year was a lot tougher than his job now at Bayern. We've seen Bayern win Bundesliga even when they had shit coaches... And Tuchel should be easy to replace, he's the worst coach since decades... Would be different if he had to follow in Heynckes foot steps, or Pep Guardiola. Beside that Kompany was team captain very long, he has learned a lot from Guardiola. Honestly? Massive respect for Bayern for having the balls to do this. it would have been naive to think that they could hire a “proven manager” and catch Leverkusen (or Stuttgart) in a single season, so to hire Kompany and make a rebuild around his core ideals is the smart thing to do

@@danielcunningham6727 to say he "flopped" isn't a fair assessment at all. the quality gap between the championship and the prem is bigger than ever. he wasn't able to build the team he wanted, given that a lot of his players he had in the championship were loaned in. he had a extremely new and quite inexperienced (at least in the prem) squad, so he had to rely on them to hit the ground running, which didn't happen. he seemed to finally have a team that were working for him towards the tail end of the season but at that point it was simply too late
