My father has had many back surgeries in his lifetime, and unfortunately, he is constantly in pain or discomfort. I sent him a few videos on BPC 157 and TB-500. He's 72 this year and overweight. He cant exercise because of his pain, so it's extra hard for him to lose weight. He hasn't said anything about yet. And he's old school and would probably be a hard sell. Man, I wish he would just give it a shot. There really aren't any harmful side effects either. I'll have to send him this video. Thanks Dr!

Funny enough, I have bpc157 in my fridge that i ordered before the stroke. I'm familiar w/ the bpc157 study on stroke induced rats that showed remarkable brain recovery. I'm still a bit timid to take it because I don't want to make things worse or have some drug interaction as dr's put me on eliquis & a beta-blocker until I get my heart repaired. Would love more of my vision back though. Would love to know more.

@@nuclearkamikaze Yes, I reconstituted and injected it using bacteriostatic water. I thought about adding it in as an oral as well, seeing as how it is one peptide that you can, but I found that not to be cost effective. I also chose the sub q route for injection site in the effected deltoid. Even though it is considered a "smart peptide" and is said to find it's way to the area that needs increased blood flow for healing, I went as close as possible. If I had a knee issue, I would have gone close to the knee. It just makes sense to me.

At 33:06, I guess there's a mistake. CJC-1295 isn't sermorelin. - The origin GHRH contains 44 amino acid - Sermorelin contains the unmodified first 29 amino acids of the origin GHRH, also called GRF 1-29 (half-life shorter than 10 min) - Mod GRF 1-29 is a modified sermorelin, where 4 amino acids were replaced, also called CJC w/o DAC (half-life arround 30 min) - CJC-1295 is also a modified sermorelin, but with an added "DAC" instead of replacing amino acids, also called CJC w/ DAC (half-life about a week) Correct me if i'm wrong.

This is a wonderful helpful video where the doctor is talking in very understandable way even to laypeople. Question : why are the peptides currently expensive (such as I see them at $3-400 per glass vial that I think lasts 20-30 doses)? And that is for one peptide like BPC. I hope these get covered by insurance.
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND 9 күн бұрын
Can't speak to what exactly makes up the cost from the compounding pharmacy as I don't own one of those! But in general, peptide raw product is expensive, and there is a lot of sterility testing that goes into the peptides. Not sure where you're getting that pricing from, as the pharmacies we use are on average $200-300 for 1-2 month supply (30-60 doses) depending on which peptide and which pharmacy

It's great to see that more doctors are using peptides more and getting the message out that they can help. I think it's a little much for us to start adding these terms to them, especially because the word peptide does not just apply to the medical peptides we use. A peptide is just a sequence of amino acids, and is ubiquitous throughout biology and physiology. I've been studying peptides for 9 years now, back when you had to find obscure forums to even learn about them because no doctors were even using them that long ago.

Thanks for making this public. My life is trial and error with health issues. When I was a kid I took shots of HGH due to pituitary issues. Around age 13 I had extreme anxiety and depression and insomnia. Basically had that ever since (nearly 40 now) and have tried various antidepressants, TMS, Ketamine..everything. Then I stumbled on Selank and it worked better than anything I've tried. Not sure why the doctors didn't go for more pituitary focused methods but what one country approves of another sees as useless I guess. Only thing I'm trying to figure out is the physicality with Selank. Can't find much information on it. SSRIs definitely slowed me down for certain workouts (martial arts for instance) and I can't tell if Selank is doing something similar or if it's actually helping coordination/power output. I also have hypermobile joints (last SSRI helped me tear my right shoulder) so might look into the BPC for that. Doing experiments
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND Жыл бұрын
I'm terribly sorry to hear that. It may be worth researching and exploring cervical instability especially if you are hypermobile, as this can cause a whole host of central neurological issues. No idea if that's your case, but might be worth exploring.

Hey! The 250-500mcg/d dose for BPC 157(vitalbpc157) is based on limited human data and rodent studies. Higher doses or longer use could have unknown risks since it's not well-researched in humans yet. Better to stay cautious and wait for more research to ensure safety.

@@troy3423well if you can’t afford and need healing you may not be able to wait. But generally they block research if it will help people. The places that fund the research won’t fund it if it isn’t a money maker and I think peptides you can’t really patent. There are risks with everything but verbally many have taken this without issue so at some level that is a test even if there are less controls in place. But if you’re waiting for the major groups that do research to research a thing they can’t patent and profit off of I doubt that will happen anytime soon. There are risks with anything you take. So you research and try to assess that and decide if the risks are acceptable. But for those in pain if they see many benefit form a thing and have no assurance research will be done this century it’s maybe not enough to tell them to just wait and hope as their body degenerates.

Hi Doc, Excellent lecture! I know, and I studied quite a lot about peptides, hormone optimization, PEDs, and overall fitness pharmacology. I've also been experimenting with most of those myself for longevity and anti-aging purposes. Furthermore, I'm self-taught. Could you please recommend me a career path that I could undertake with all this knowledge at my disposal? I truly know a lot, and most endocrinologists I confront myself with are always impressed however I'm not interested in a degree as MD, so I lately considered a B.Sc. (Hons) in Health Sciences. However, I'm not quite sure if it does even exist a Master's Degree in Peptides or in Hormone Optimization that I could undertake afterward with such a degree. Moreover, I study these for fun and because I'm actually very good at it, but this is not my main work field. I do also know quite a lot about nutrition, and training, but that's not a career I'd like to pursue. Please, any advice would be very much appreciated from an expert in this sector.

@I know a…. You might consider getting to know the studies about the eight essential glyconutrients that make our stem cells. There is no endo system without them, and you won’t get the true story from med school. They run the show from the bottom up pretty much. Without these eight saccharides at the very minimum, there is no making, repairing, regenerating or messaging of other parts of our biology physically. So there are many devotees going into the study of glyconutrition. In conventional medicine, immunologists are informed about them, but for lucrative business’s sake, they are taught to keep it mum that you get get your own stem cell treatments from your own kitchen. Beware of the wiles of the conventional thinking ones-the ones who will ONLY think the way they were orogrammed in med school where 70% of their med school curriculum is actually written by drug company employees who aren’t even doctors (that is actually a true fact). I’d save that for if you ever need a busted leg set. For “all things immunity and degenerative”, look to glyconutrition. Only ONE food group can make stem cells. Carbohydrates. Why do you think there is so much propaganda against them by the conventional medicine set? If we are missing even one essential glyconutrient, we are in trouble, and a lot of us are in trouble. When we add it back into the diet, we now have all eight glycos in order to make the stem cells we need and also in order for cell to cell communication that would be flawed if even one missing. MIT calls glyconutrients “the missing food group”. There are books about this, like “Sugars that Heal”, and “Glyconutrients”, and “Miracle Sugars”. I have used these for many years, but don’t expect to get answers from your conventional doctors about them-it was mostly kept from them during med school, other wise, they wouldn’t serve the drug companies. Take care of yourself so you can take care of others. There are powers that be who would attempt to stop you from learning about this. God bless you in your journey. (Copy’d b4 pst)

Wow thanks Doc. This is one of the best lectures I’ve seen on these peptides! For some reason injecting CJC + ipamorelin before bed gives me issues as well. It’s like a slightly elevated heart rate with a heavy pounding sensation. Nothing crazy but enough to keep me up, which is strange because supposedly these peptides don’t raise cortisol. It doesn’t seem to happen every time though. If I take it during the day it’s not noticeable whatsoever. Also, any chance you’ve delved into GHK-Cu in another video?

Ipamorelin can like other HGH substances, can decrease insulin sensitivity and have your blood sugar raise. In your youth you were likely more active and your body acting youthful and you not utilizing the energy likely has a surplus at night.. probably damaging for your pancreas. Just a guess... Based on information from forums on the subject.

They aren't 'pointless', but they don't provide an advantage over oral for most patients. Some patients still respond better to injectable, just not a large majority. SubQ injections over the area of pain is pointless

also what does "ED" stand for in your non pre procedure dosing chart for BPC? Aside from "ED" or "QD" i dont see any difference in the dosing for non procedure and post procedure. I know QD stands for Daily, but ive never seen the ED as a medication abbreviation.
@DrewTimmermansND

BPC-157 doesn't suppress inflammation, so we don't stop the BPC157 in the same way we stop NSAIDs. We start TB500 immediately post procedure. And ED is an acronym for every day. So no difference from QD. At that time, our dosing protocol was the same for non-procedure and post procedure. It still is for the most part.

Where would you recommend buying these products?
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND 3 ай бұрын
If you are working with a physician and can get injectable BPC-157 from a compounding pharmacy, then that's great. If you aren't, then we don't recommend the injectable version as this would require you to purchase BPC-157 from a research chemical website and these peptides are commonly contaminated with LPS, a bacterial endotoxin, which can cause really bad side effects. Instead of using injectable, we then recommend using an oral arginate salt. We use the BPC-157 capsules from InfiniWell as they use the arginate salt. If you want a discount code, we have one for our patients on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements. Once on that website, click the InfiniWell link, and then choose the product labeled 'BPC-157 Original 250mcg'. This is the version that does not have SNAC, which we find works better. All of the other ones are only available through a doctors Rx (if you want to get safe non-contaminated versions)

Some people do not respond to oral and they respond to injectable, and vice versa. I'm glad you found what worked for you! But to clarify as we have worked with over 500 people with BPC-157 at this point, and your statement is not true for most people. Be careful telling people that the only way something will work is what worked for you, because that's not true for everyone. Majority of people see outstanding results with oral BPC-157 and they do not need to inject it. Some people do need to, but most people will see significant benefits from oral.

Pretty sure there are numerous publications where they are trying to administer GHRH over prolonged periods (eg with an infusion pump), prior to the discovery of CJC-1295. In studies on CJC-1295 the authors often note that boosting the overall baseline is healthier and more physiologically relevant than giving these supraphysiological pulses with a bolus administration, and that bolus administration is the cause of the majority of GH related side effects. Do you have a scientific opinion on this? What you said about the benefit of bolus dosing around min 33-34 sounds very much like bro science and not what the literature says. If you could share some references explicitly supporting short-acting bolus GHS dosing to achieve some type of benefit that is superior to longer term release, I would genuinely love to see them

Glad to know you appreciated the video! It depends on how frequently you're doing the secretagogues. If you're just pinning once per day, if you take one day off per week most people can continue for 6-12 months without any evidence of negative effects. We don't necessarily recommend that though, as we believe that humans evolved to have periods of fasting and feasting. So if someone does GH or GHS for several months, we intentionally want to scale back all anabolic substances and approaches for a few months as well.

Please could you advise a peptide for scar tissue ? I have nerve clumping in my lumber spine, I had a CSF leak in labour and need something to break up scar tissue. I have had stem cell therapy & has helped lots. Would love any advise for further healing and keeping scar tissue a bay 🙏🏻

I sent you a message on your website. Do you have any recommendations for long Covid? I got it last July and it’s ruined my jiujitsu and home life. I’m having brain fog, fatigue, shortness of breath/tachycardia under exertion.

I only work with orthopedics and chronic pain sorry. My wife will occasionally take on long haulers, but not all of them
