My grandparents came to America from San Gregorio back in the 1920's. My grandfathers name was Pietro Iuzzolino and my grandmother was Maria Conforti. I'm sure that I am related to some of the people on these videos. I recall my grandfather singing on the porch often. Thank you for this beautiful illustration of the passion these people have for living. Ciao, bella.

Glad you enjoyed the videos. My Grandfather's family is from San Gregorio which is why I have done so many recordings there with the help of my relatives. I have a bunch more recordings coming up in the next few months from San Gregorio.

Thank you for making these films. It is so important to maintain a sense of this village culture. I am considering a visit to Italy this summer and wanted to visit San Gregorio. I have no contact with relatives there and wondered if you had any advice on ways to reach out. Thank you again for your great work capturing this community.

San Gregorio is rather remote and difficult to access. All I can suggest is try to get in contact with your relatives there. Also, know how to speak Italian. Going to San Gregorio is not like going to Venice or Florence!
