DMAX Performance Upgrade

We tow with the DMAX most of the time, she is is needed to do off road and dirt road work and this year we will be travelling a lot of the outback on both sealed and unsealed roads.
The work consisted of :
Transmission Cooler Fitted
New Valve Body put on the automatic transmission
Remapped to meet our towing needs
Putting on new Brake Rotors, better brake pads and steel braided lines.
The results were excellent on the first tow and only time will tell how good this will be for our full time towing experience.

Ball park only - you should contact Just autos for a detailed quote, they are happy to talk everything thru with you. Brakes $1500, transmission cooler $600, tune and valve body - $4000 this all includes labour.

Before you put the transcooler on how hot did the temps get towing and how much did they drop when cooler was fitted

During hot weather we were getting over 100c on hot days and/or steep hauling - now it ranges around 65-76c max, even when it’s 35c outside. We don’t tow the van much over 85-90 KPH, any faster and the temp rises dramatically too. One of the best things we did to protect from oveheating,

Thanks for the reply ive got a dmax 2020 model i tow my race car trailer with it iam going to put the same cooler on it did they still run the hoses thru the radiator aswell as the cooler

@@wanderandmove4831 a 30d drop is near impossible from a oil cooler , need to check your numbers 10 to 15 would be max

Just curious, why a remap over a Torquit module and how much better is it.

It was specially remapped for towing whereas Torquit is great but it is plug and play. The truck has more power and torque down low where we need it for towing.

That was 2 years ago and would recommend everyone get their own quotations - so many variables to think the prices could be comparable.
