I don't think it's OCD that makes you want to build things the way you do. It's just because you're good at what you do and you do precision work. 👍

We build fence in Kansas and our fence is hedge posts and barb wire, before we build the fence we take either the dozer or skid steer and level out the ground so like you said before it doesn’t do weird up and down with no flow. And painting the lines, we can get a half mile out of a cab, but you have to step on the dirt if it’s loose before you mark.

Damm brother you are in beast mode. Stay hydrated! I'm not sure what your 90-degree heat feels like. Here in Texas on the east side just past Beaumont, it's been 98 to 105 with feels like temp 110- 116 and 70 to 80% humidity. 😮😢 It has been freaking miserable.. Step outside for 5 minutes in the shade with 6 ceiling fans on my back patio, and I am literally drenched . So glad this month long bubble finally popped. Only 93 today, and humidity is much lower.

20 years ago I built a jig for the upright L-supports that went into the hillside for a retaining wall. That made things so much easier ! The hard part was digging the trenches into the hillside because the only thing I could get back there was the handheld auger. Even through some earthquakes, it's still nice and straight. 👍

The previous owner put in a fence for horses and they used barb wire in between and steel posts. It's like they didn't care where they put the posts in, not even straight or plum or something. So i killed the weeds around them to start taking barb wire off first and coil it up, then pull out the posts to make mowing the pasture easier.

Nice work. Last year when you mentioned fencing off the house, my oCD kicked in. Glad it's evolved into more of a fencing off the animal areas from the rest of the property. Also side thought...have you thought about bringing in any other animals for content/ utilitarian purposes? Thinking llamas or ostriches

Looking good bro. On the next sections I would paint on some Henry’s roof tar on those posts or burn the ends going in the dirt. Cheap and easy but will make it last that much longer. Do you know what kind of wood the old fence was made from or if they tar dipped the posts?
