I agree completely, dmc 5s was cool but Nero got in the way imo, not only do I think the sons of sparda should be the most powerful, but both Dante and vergil getting slapped by Nero just doesn't make sense either ( even though you can prove a fully powered Dante or vergil beating Nero ), dmc 4s just felt like filler and not much of a climax because Dante could solo the entirety of the enemy's , dmc 2 was well, dmc 2 and dmc 1 is pretty good overall aswell as 3 but to a greater extent, but honestly this game does what it wanted to really well and the gameplay is the second best in the entirety of dmc imo. And I say this as a massive fan of the originals but this game gets way too much shit for being a reboot, I kinda like this Dante ( don't get me wrong the original is way better ) and vergil aswell as they're more brotherly relationship for most of the game compared to Dante and vergils rivalry more than anything else. The plot kinda sucked with mundus wanting to rule the world through debt but then again dmc was never known for its plot.

Disagree? No I agree. The problem with this scene isn't the scene itself. Its all that came before that doesn't justify Vergil being turned into the surprise villain. Now whether or not Vergil is wrong in wanting to rule humanity compared to Dante becoming a defender of humanity like his original counterpart is always up for debate. But Vergil wasn't written so well in this story up till this point. This scene in awesome and a perfect hint at what could have been if we had seen Vergil's more conspiring side through out the game. His DLC does him no justice despite being a good addition. This fight shows a hint of the old Vergil. But the story overall makes him a pathetic traitor.

The hint wasn't meant to directly imply Vergil. Second there is no instance prior to the last mention where Vergil expresses he isn't concerned for human life. And where do you get the idea that Vergil didn't care for Dante's well being? You might have had weight in you're reply if you mentioned he was only focused on killing Mundus and taking over as ruler. But even that doesn't hold weight. Vergil stood no chance alone and he needed to convince Dante to join him. For that he can't simply "feel unconcerned" about Dante. Otherwise they would also have no brotherly bonding during the story at all. Even if Vergil had a lower opinion of humans. That is something he never displayed before the final mission. The base invasion mission doesn't count this either as it is never brought up with Vergil. Keeping in mind the rules of Limbo and the physical world Dante doesn't question Vergil why he doesn't do anything to save his employee's because its common knowledge from the start they can't do anything. Think about the fact they designed Limbo to enhanced supernatural feats while the physical reduced both Dante and Vergil. Its the reason you never see them fight in the real world against any humans. Vergil also had an excuse to prioritize his computer data over Kat's safety. So it wasn't a matter of "he wasn't concerned of human life". He was concerned if he lost that then Mundus wins overall. Anything Vergil believed could not be expressed because if he failed or lost at any point, none of it would matter. The end ignores this and chucks it up to "Mundus is dead, now I can express my right to rule and call humans frail children." This betrayal is half assed. And if you think Vergil truly did not care about human life then think about the fact he even had a rebellion to begin with. Even if he secretly had lower thoughts of humans he still needed to rely on them. This means he can't show disconcern. He has to be concerned. They are also working in his base where extremely confidential content is kept. And sure we don't see his secrets. But the manner of how he trusted his human companians to protect it usually means he has to have loyalty to begin with. You don't earn loyalty without being empathic towards humans at all. Look at Mundus too. He's a full blown Demon Lord yet he also embraced a human form. Think about how that allows him to gain the trust of the public and secretly enslave mankind. Mundus does the complete opposite of Vergil and manipulates people through both charisma, power, and control over political leaders, and economies. Vergil is not able to manipulate people the same way. In general Vergil is not charismatic enough to do what Mundus does. Otherwise you'd have two Demon Lords fighting just for the sake of winning as if this were Warhammer where the Chaos Gods just fight for the sake of the "Great Game" to prove who is superior and dominate. This is not the case with Vergil. Do yourself a favor, since you see how much I just said, never insult my intelligence again or say I didn't pay attention. Not only are you instigating an argument but your defense of a flaw in story telling and your attitude towards me shows your arrogance and disrespect to me. I've been a fan of this series for a very long time over a decade now. I took every story into consideration, discussions, theories, and of course content like this where we are trying to understand the points of view of the characters in lore. Give an argument if you will but do not insult me.

Actually, this vid has helped me. I was thinking "How the hell is he quick enough to parry those ice swords." Then I tried it and figured out that as soon as you see the sword move backward you hit attack with Rebellion and it'll parry. The reason he went from A to SSS that fast is because of the power boost you get from a demon evade, and landed hits while the boost was there. That did mad damage and therefore he got that awesome style boost.

This game is awesome, especially the definitive version on PS4. I’ve spent the most time on this one compared to any other devil may cry even part 5. Very underrated game compared to the others with graphics and gameplay wise.

The first playthrough of this boss is amazing I did it on nephlim and having to use devil trigger at the end was really cool if you ask me especialy on a slither of health and it played out in the cutscene
