how exactly does DTE factor into this? if you have 3 enemies, start from no rank, then explode 7 orbs into a SSS, does it just count as 3x hits from no rank?

No. Combo variation at high style ranks, like SSS, SS, S or A will give you higher points. any single hit at SSS ranking will give you 8000 points which is maximum. You only lose points if you perform another attack at a lower rank, which will scale it down. So for example if you hit an enemy once at SSS you will earn 8000 points if you waited for the style meter to go down to D and hit at D rank you will end up with 4000 style points. It's like a scale, get most of your hits at higher ranks SS, SS, S, A. || || ____/\____ | | SSS, SS, S, A | B, C, D, N/A So you need to perform more combos at those higher ranks to turn the scale in your advantage.

Ah. So is this how Heaven and Hell mode works? I always wondered how you were supposed to get higher style points in that game mode since every enemy literally dies in one hit. So you just dodge or block with RG until you have a SSS style meter, then just blow them away with E&I? LOL... I always learn something different about this game.

this was very helpfull in easy mod, i mean the enemies are too weak and i was have trouble with the style points =D btw i was checking my achievements list and i saw one achivement for get S-rank in all mission in any mod, i get in my first road with vergil in easy. =D cheers bro.

SirbAkAkbs if you were having trouble getting style points in easy then you were going something at least slightly wrong, I played it on easy just to fuck around and was able to get an SSS ranking in combat at least once almost every mission.
