On Nintendo Switch there's an official Style Switcher mode where you can use all weapons, devil arms and styles as you want. On PC there's a mod for that (for the vanilla DMC3SE PC port and for the HD Collection as well).

Same thing happened to me. You have to open up your controller and clean the black stuff out of the stick motors.

It's a pity they never gave a similar update to either the PC or PS4 release of the HD collection. That being said, I'm sorta proud to have done it without the style switcher back when the special edition had just come out.

thank god I've been waiting on someone to do a dmd SS run with the switch version using freestyle mode. it makes the game even more perfect than it already was.
