I'm glad they kept him around dmc 3 level. He's supposed to be a bitch but equally satisfying to beat. Though I remember him being much more aggressive but here, he's just as unforgiving when he hits you.

TBH I really hope they make vergil be played. On some occassions if I've been playing DMC 4 Vergil I would've crushed Dante. Vergil here looks like he takes a few seconds to plan every move,while if you were playing dmc4 Vergil(with beowulf and sparda) the enemy didnt had even a second to breathe.

Good fight, very clean. That being said, there were a lot of safety strats (not that I blame) that made the fight bit less enjoyable for me personally. You can do so much more damage with RG than this fight shows off, and not hitting the super in SIN DT seems like a misstep in the moment. Good stuff anyways though, This is an impressive feat to manage no matter what strategy you employ. Edit: Also I forgot to mention this, but that little string you do where you air taunt into air trick into E&I Gunslinger is super sweet, gonna have to steal that one if I can do the inputs fast enough.

Nice run, I also have one on my channel I think we can learn from each other. Do you have any tips for Royal Release while he is flying ? I can't pull it off consistently it seems random (at times I pull off the damage but I get hit too, at times the animation triggers but nothing happens...). Learning to parry all his attacks in demon mode helps a ton in finishing this fight as fast as possible.

As nuts as the whole thing is all together, I think I learned a couple tricks to try out from this too. Air taunt into gunslinger moves after the air trick looks really fun, I always went into swordmaster stuff. That DT for an extra sky star with Devil Sword Dante is brilliant as others have pointed out. Is using the Luce better than going quadruple S? It sure looked like it. And is Cavalier too slow for this fight? It's at least not as combo friendly I guess.

I think Capcom did the same mechanic in DMC just like RE, if the bosses didn't manage to hit you, the reaction time against them become shorter. As in RE if you never died, the boss become tougher and tougher than average gameplay.
