Personally I think it's good to teach people how good RG is at canceling as well. It taught me to switch between other styles more often at least. Gaurd dashing while not quicker than just dashing is also a good tool for learning to just switch between styles.

Too bad RG you can't really cancel faster out of attacks in DMC5. If you try trickdashing in DMC5 you'll notice a really big cooldown at the end of each guard. Really missed that from 4.

Yeah I remember you - you left a very insightful comment on one of GBG's Dante tutorial regarding best way to learning Dante by having a neutral state (that 1 devil arms, gun and style) and mastering it before progressing to weapon and style switching. Its been over a year and I've become good because of that helpful tip - thank you!

@@chrisg5219 Reddit is all I have and sometimes I'll check r/DevilMayCry. I don't comment much or check there as much as I used to but that's because people usually say something I'll probably say. I don't think most of the people I learned from visit there much either but I know there are many there of every level also learning. If you want the real hardcore people then r/SSSerious is pretty good but I don't know how alive that place is these days. Also as a general tip for reddit, just add reddit at the end of your google searches and you'll see many threads old and new for whatever question. I think someone did that and came across one of my old replies because I got a pm about it a year after.

That's definitely something that was super useful in feeling like i wasn't repeating strings was to not solely focus on the enemy in front of me. Working in other movement options have def helped in getting that better understanding

Great video. I am really enjoying this series a lot so far. It may not be as high production value as "Taking Notes", but great teachings don't necessarily require a tidy classroom. Really looking forward to what more stuff you'll be coming up with tutorial wise. And I'll definitely be trying some of the moving around just using attacks myself. Though I will probably not be able to let gi of my beautiful sideways air hike. That thing just looks too cool for me give up on it. Even it msy be wise to tone down its use a tad and think of more creative means to move about the stage. Both outside of fights and right in the middle of the action

Same i just saw it and I recently decided to git gud at dmc5 but man its been like hitting my head against a brick wall despite watching every video and reading every guide I can. I can't even beat any missions on dmd yet bc I get hit a lot and just feel like I'm winging it rather than actually being in control of my character. Especially for dante

@@chrisg5219 at some point, your just gonna have to embrace the grind, it takes an unholy amount of time and effort to get consistent decisive play in DMC, most of these guides your watching are most likely coming from players who've been playing these games consistently for years and have thousands of hours poured in, just try to have fun with the game and consciously try to improve specific areas you know your bad in

Hm. What do you need to know? Teleport is just B/circle, so what's usually your style button. You can also use the side roll input (Lock-on side A/x) to do a reaaaally good completely invincible dodge that looks stylish and is great for repositioning. Maybe you meant that?

Should I use a trainer for turbo mode? I used turbo in old games and since this doesn't have that it feels like I'm underwater.

The idea of playing Void, some battles or even whole missions with just skills and attacks rather walking or jumping is kinda sick. Not just for some gimmicky speedrun but to get you appreciate added properties. It is a small thing but it would be cool if we could disable walking somehow but keep all the commands. I know it sounds weird but we can already turn off a bunch of things in this game. It isn't hugely necessary but it could help with learning or challenges if it could be disabled.

For Nero, kinda. For Dante though, he doesn't have much movement with his other weapons other than Stinger, Full House, and the backdash part of Draw. There's his trickster dash as well as air trick and gunstinger but that's generally it.

@@ChaserTech thanks for that when you are free to make more videos. i will suggest you to make enemy analysis this goes for boss or normal enemies on dmc4 se especially for dante. I play on non turbo but one day i will sure play like you guys on turbo.
