that actually happens A LOT in the fight, at least whenever I play it. If you take your eyes off one for even a second, you can bet they're closing in for an attack. It REALLY shows just how well the Brother's moves compliment each other because they cover each other so well.

@@Wikloe it also helps that the game is designed to have enemies attack when they're on camera. And if they're not on camera then their goal is to try and get on to the camera so they can attack, at least that's what I've tested

The bosses usually have fixed cameras to prevent you from exploiting that, however I've disabled the boss lock on camera and they STILL attack you from off screen so bosses are unique in they don't try to get back on screen. If you let Dante go on the other side of the map and turn the camera off him, you're going to get a bunch of laser spamming from off screen.

And don't forget to max Lovers social link with Kyrie(it's optional but without the courage that Nero feels after last phonecall with her it gonna be hard acquiring DT). When fighting Vergil you need to at any cost not taunting him, no damage and fight needs to be ended at SSS style or else u cant start Power social link. After that u need to wait 27 of December(until that time im reccomending to you max Lady and Trish social links and don't forget Niko's).

God, I love how this really gives a big contrast on how the Sparda brothers fight. Like Dante is the headfirst flashy guerilla type fighter, while Vergil actually plays smart, he goes with it slow, always go for the weak points, always on crits, if they showed it, he might as well be reading your moves and will strike at moments you lag, or pause to think. Pretty sure Vergil was the ones who got the first hits too, with Dante dishing higher digits.

@@Honest-King Nero beating Vergil is pure fan service. SDT is the complete evolution of Dante and Vergil’s demonic power. And Nero unlocked his own full DT. Him being so much more younger, less experienced; it doesn’t make any sense story-wise to whoop Dante and Vergil, if anything it should he the other way around. Also no idea how, but the writer will pull some thing out of his ass to give Nero a massive power boost (probably SDT), even though it doesn’t make much sense. I mean, the only reason Dante got SDT is by fusing the Rebellion within him, which was given to him by Sparda himself, and Vergil got his by eating the Qliphoth fruit.

Nevermind that though, DMC is a story about Family, Heart, and Humanity at its core, so you should probably get used to underdogs winning. Plus theres what Clerisvaldo said which is very likely considering both Dante slept in human blood and Vergil ate a fruit grown out of human blood. edit: Also keep in mind it wasn't an absolute fight to the death. It was just losing a round to Nero and Vergil acknowledging him. Both sons get up after the fight just fine, and when they'e in hell theyre constantly trading rounds. If they all fought Dante would probably win considering his crazy proven exploits and experience but it wasn't a fight to the death (because what DMC story is about).
