That's so real because rarely do we see Gilver think about others...when he does, it's about comparing Dante and his own outcomes and origins, showing us how much Vergil is actually impacted by living in the shadow of his mother's death (and by proxy his inability to prevent it...the motivator behind his obsession with power).
