So cool to see how far drifting has come. I started watching (and doing a bit of rain drifting myself) when legit competitions were first starting in the USA. I think that was around 03' or 04' if I remember correctly. Watching Formula D at my local track in Sonoma, CA, (that location is no longer on the FD calendar, was only the first 2 seasons i think). Anyway I said that just to give some context into how long i've been into the scene. So me being a normal dude from northern california I've always had pride in our drivers from the USA. But man I have to be brutally honest.... DMEC is crushing the USA scene. The tracks are better, the drivers are better and the overall production of each event is better in Europe. Mad props to all the drivers and DMEC, you guys are killing it. I wish Formula D was a little more aggressive and technical but oh well. Take care all.

23:10 I know the judges don't like big handbrake pulls but that looks sooo pretty🤤

its a deceleration zone, so that is fine there as far as i know, it looks beautiful!

@@micheskillz They said multiple times throughout the stream that they dont want to see long handbrake pulls in that section that they’re looking for drivers to decel enough to transition and get back on throttle quick

I feel like Wiecek should not have been judged for the bump on Holovnia. where he hit holovnia should have spun him the other way right?

No, they’re on very sticky semi slick tyres. When there’s a contact between tyres spinning in opposite directions, strong forces are applied. It was a light touch, causing Holovnia to overrotate, but if he hit him harder, Wieceks front would probably launch in the air.
