DMITRY BIVOL (RUSSIA) vs CEDRIC AGNEW (USA) FULL FIGHT

Ok, guys so I've got a banger for you in this video. We are going to watch and review a fight involving Dmitry Bivol from Russia against Cedric Agnew from the USA. This was a 10-round non-championship Light Heavyweight contest,
where both fighters had achieved TKOs in their most recent fight, just before this one.
The fight took place in Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, USA
I mean Bivol's last 9 fights have been by Unanimous points decisions so they have been decisive clear wins but I believe in most of these fights he had positioned himself comfortably to get a knockout opportunity. But he either hesitated, calculated too much for the perfect punch, or just did not want to give anything away to his opponent.
At times it looks like he just does not want to go in for the finish and impose himself. Now I do believe he needs to target the body more to secure the win because what I see Bivol doing is bombarding his opponents, just like with Canelo, with constant straight punches and then leaving it up to the referee to call off the fight due to his opponent not responding.
Now this is an amateur boxing tactic and it works because amateur boxing is highly regulated but I feel as Bivol approaches the Beterbiev fight he will need to do something a bit more precise and with bad intentions. What do you guys think?

I discovered Bivol years ago after watching Coach Charles demonstrate the mechanics of the Russian/Cuban check hook interested me in Russian and Cuban style boxing. Everyone thought that I was crazy when I predicted that he would defeat Canelo with distance management. Now Bivol is a star, and I have learned the principles of kinetic chain and pendulum movement. Thank you, Coach!

Yes the Cuban and Soviet school of boxing are very similar. That was a great prediction. I still use some soviet techniques in demonstrations.

@Charlessalbox You might not remember, but years ago, on my old channel, Calburner, I watched your video on the check hook, and kept commenting on how strange it first felt to execute it as you do, but then it felt much more natural than the way I had practiced for years. Then, I began rotating my rear foot when executing the lead hook, instead of doing as we are trained in the Wesr. That also began to feel more natural. I learned some Salsa, and I have been learning Cuban and Russian kinetic chain and pendulum principles, one at a time, ever since😅. My goal is to coach a young person to use these principles from the beginning of their training. Thank you so much, Coach🥊.

You must develop your ability to vary range effortlessly... so adept footwork. Then you must develop your slipping and evasive abilities... so agility and balance skills. Also are you short in your weight class?

agnew probably read london's novel boxer(or "a piece of meat")-there was the same-poor boxer was all time enduring shots from his opponent and at the end he gave him a strong shot and won by ko...but agnew forgot one thing-this was a novel, not real life, and this tactics had many faults...the result was obvious...
