The reason why Bivol want his opponents to throw punches, is because they become open to his jabs, straights and combos. Bivol is way more effective with aggressive fighters. If his opponents refuse to throw, they still lose by a shut out. Bivol is tough to beat.

The amount of uneducated boxing fans in the comment section amazes me. For example "pillow hands" or "he was hurt to the body" he couldn't finish him. Bivol certainly generates huge power, that is a huge reason why power punchers can NEVER get close to him or hurt him because his power is more than enough to just make them look like they do not belong. The "hurt to the body" was an assumption the British broadcaster suggested and even he was not sure and he didn't even "wince" it was purely due to resetting otherwise his guard would have dropped and defended that side of his body and only became stronger after that. That was the most dominate fight you can have every round plus a knockdown and some refs would have stopped it, yet because lyndon was trying everything not to get finished it made it harder. No one is defeating Bivol, the only way he can "maybe be defeated is if he moves up because the gap is huge. He is too much for anyone at 168 or 175. He has it all.

what is the excuse exactly? Lyndon had a very good high guard and was sitting on his back foot most of the fight where he loves the most which is his counter and bivol was still breaking him down in his strength, if a professional boxer is in his favorite place and focusing on not getting knocked out its difficult to knock someone out, are you actually suggesting bivol doesn't provide strength to knock someone out? Because if you actually believe such a thing, you should watch the way he punches, he knows precisely how to generate power and if even a tiny man is taught correctly how and where to hit another with the right technique you dont need knockout power but make no mistake he has it, he just doesn't fight like an emotional fighter, which is why he is the best boxer in the world right now in his division and before you say beterbiev, he has been knocked down and never dominated every fight he has been in like bivol, he just has finished them in the end, which I respect, but no one is defeating bivol at 168 or 175, maybe if he goes up, thats the only way. @@steelyeyes9190

Bivol vs Beterbiev is the fight to make IMO, no question before Artur gets any older... I respect both guys too much to pick, but let them fight, and if there's a clean winner, let him then fight David Benavides----- and Canelo can do whatever... one just doesn't know with him, but I'm pretty sure he's done enough in his career, that if he wants to coast out to retirement with a few showcase fights... then fine... but I think he believes he's still about adding to his legacy, and that he can still just about beat anyone... so you never know what he might do... but these types of fights, they do nothing for Bivol now, and Canelo will use any excuse not to fight him again (believe that---unless it's the only viable $ fight that is out there)... so Bivol and Beterbiev HAVE to fight---------

Beterbiev will walk right through him. Beterbiev is a great inside fighter. Bivol ALWAYS keeps the fight on the outside. He’s in and out and throws combinations to back people up. All his opponents have fell for this method. Beterbiev is a different fighter altogether. As we have just seen he boxed exceptionally well against Smith. Ok Smith isn’t world class level but Beterbiev is relentless at pressuring his opponents. Bivol is a slapper, he’s just slapped his way to a 12 round decision against a human punchbag Journeyman, couldn’t stop him. He’s getting obliterated by Beterbiev. 💥🥊
