it's just comfortable for him. When he puts his feet parallel one of them like shakes and twitches, pretty weird (it's in one of his videos). I went down the crossfit games and he was doing demos there and he mentioned the foot thing again, then he referred to a famous weightlifter that used to start with both feet touching in like a v shape. he just says "whatever is comfortable for you"

im actually suprised at how his static strength of the posterior chain is relatively weak, when compared to the static strength of his quads for example. It really goes to show that static and explosive strength are completely different. It also makes sense, the quads don't have to be very explosive in weightlifting, whereas the posterior chain does. This is because the pulls have to be very quick, but the quads just have to be able to squat the weight up once it's caught in the bottom position.

bveit12 I admire Klokov and would definitely say he's world elite for sure, but there are dudes pulling 800lbs (~362 kgs) for reps upwards towards 10 (8 on youtube). I admire his ability to be so damn strong while keeping a body builder style physique, and obviously a shit ton of mobility. The man is a fucking tank, and deserves a shit ton of respect.

Do you ever get pain on he outside of your lower leg from that? I squatted like that for a couple years but had to stop because I got a super intense pain there. It got bad enough that I could barely walk or take the stairs. Anyway, point is, I want to get back to that style of squatting and I was wondering if you have any tips.

Many powerlifter do shortcut like not deep squats, wide stance narrow grip deadlift this guy didn't do that. His purpose was to get stronger to lift and not to show off. Form is proper body shape is proper and his strength is amazing.
