Po4 number is insane, same as mine but just soft coral and some lps. What a great tank, good job.

Thank you, I am hoping the numbers will come down over time. Happy New Year!

Your tank is looking absolutely amazing so you clearly have it dialed in, not only to your liking but also very beneficial for your corals.

Absolutely stunning aquarium, congratulations - it truly makes a big impression. I’d like to ask you about two things. First, does the BladeGlow really enhance coral colors as significantly as advertised? Is it worth buying such a lamp compared to the effect it provides? And second, how did you introduce tangs to your aquarium? Did you perhaps add them all at once?
@TreasureCorals6 күн бұрын
thank you. I have added glow because I could, but I can't really say it adds much to color or to the coral coloration - depends on your views on what "UV" does. I don't see any more pop, and was quite happy with just grows. But for this aquarium I wanted to do something different. As for tangs - I did add them at different times, there's some fighting between power blue and powder brown, but other than that - all is well

Id love to see the rockscape before you added corals, is there anywhere i can see it? What are your tank dimensions? New to the hobby and new to channel too but i love the tank
@TreasureCorals16 күн бұрын
For sure - if you go back 10 months in this play list you can see when the tank was just being set up. I try to document my tanks every week so you can see how it evolved. Also - welcome to the hobby, make sure to subscribe to see what's coming next!

Amazing tank!! Love the look of these lights! How are you liking the trident np? Any accuracy issues on PO4 test?

I wish they had a balanced blade grow with some uv led and some warm white led
@timjohnson391317 күн бұрын
That would be nice to have it all in one, but you can achieve all LEDs if you go with a Freshwater and a Glow (this is what I have). You get warm white and red LEDs on the freshwater (these are on the same red control dial) and a few blue LEDs, and you get the Royal Blue, Purple and UV on the Glow. All LEDs found in the Grow are found in this combo of Freshwater + Glow, albeit in different amounts. If you do go this route, you need to have a plan for mounting where you can offset the angles of the blades so the light mixes and the tank doesn’t look white in one part and blue in the other part.

@@timjohnson3913 very cool, you read my mind - I was actually very interested in freshwater one as I really like the natural look
@timjohnson391317 күн бұрын
I would be tempted to increase the UV at the expense of some Royal Blue (if you are concerned with high par). You’ll notice that increasing the UV does not change the color profile of the tank at all to my eyes (whereas if you increase purple the tank looks more purple). But increasing the UV gives more pop for all corals that fluoresce (even in your more daylight settings).
@TreasureCorals16 күн бұрын
that's a very good point. do you recommend increasing both of the UV channels on the glow then?
@timjohnson391316 күн бұрын
@@TreasureCoralsJust the channel called “UV”. Increasing the “Violet” past a certain point will make the tank look purple.

Amazing tank. Do you usually run your phosphate at that level? Mine have risen to .52, and I’m starting to take additional measures to reduce them.
@TreasureCorals16 күн бұрын
Thank you. Watch out for this - I've shown it on this channel in some of my previous videos that bringing down phosphate may actually harm the corals. How are your corals looking right now?
@wesroberts418815 күн бұрын
@ They look fine. I noticed a decrease in Alkalinity uptake. I was having a DINO problem. I started using Tropic Marin Phos Feed. It solved my DINO problem, but increased my phosphates. It’s a new tank setup last June. Your tank looks amazing at your level. So I’m thinking I shouldn’t get to obsessed chasing numbers.

How long are the Blades on this tank? 66 inches?

yes, the max size possible. Works great.

Im using two Grows and 1 Glow love the lights but I'm with you always loved the Blue channel on the old hydras but the manufacturers are putting far to many royal blue leds in the fittings now and its very hard to get a spectrum that is pleasing without dialling the royal blue right back especially when even the white channel now has some a 450 nm spectral peak in it as well i personally run higher uv than you as thinks its very important but to much violet in the mix I really don't like

Will your schedule link file work on the myai app as well or will I have to just manually copy your schedule within the myai app?
@TreasureCoralsКүн бұрын
Won’t work as the two are not compatible. Manual copy is the way to go
