So for the key value on the Encryption; are you just making up whatever combination of 4 or 32 letters and numbers that you want, or does each key number have a specific combination of letters and numbers that needs to be entered? And how did you choose a color code or is the specified by the channel you'd be using?

Hi enigma6482, sorry for the late response. Key value of encryptions contains Letters: eadfcb Numbers: 0 to 9 So in this case you can mix whatever you need. Colour code is specified by the channels of the repeater. Or in simplex you own chose. Also is important to know what structure you want use . Example, Simplex is between 2 or more radios. Repeater we have to respect repeater color code. Duble Slot is similar to mobile network and simplex in this case we have two channels with 2 different color codes at same frequency or close. Thank you! Im currently trying to set up encryption between two radios. We set up a new channel and applied all your settings identical on both radios but we were not able to connect. - How do I create a contact list, with just the person im trying to create an encrypted transmission? - When im setting up encryption between two radios do I use a talk group to connect? - When im creating a preset on each radio, do I need to change encryption key numbers or any specifics? If you can, could you create a video that shows how to create a secure channel to communicate between two different HD1s and show how to program each radio. Thank you very much!!! @@RadiantWavesHub
