I carry a big one for over my tent, one for over the bike, and a ling skinny one that I can put around my campsite to sheild eyes from the light of my campfire, ect. Great job Joe! Man, my respect to you if you drove a motorcycle in the Philippines for any length of time. When I disembarked from the airplane a tad over twelve (12) years ago to test out early retirement, I had a plan. I said to myself, " I can go into Manila, purchase a new ride and use it every day unless it is pouring rain." That thought quickly dissolved after observing traffic on the General Douglas MacArthur National highway for a few weeks. . We have had many of our clients receive serious injuries over the years. We lost a young couple (yes, both of them DOA at the scene of the accident) days before their wedding. Two days ago, a client lost his foot while running his tricycle to earn a days pay. Practice situational awareness and stay safe!
@dirtymotorcyclevagabond7 ай бұрын
It's a little hairy for sure, particularly in the big cities. This especially seems true for westerners who aren't used how traffic works in that part of the world. Frankly, I felt safer in some ways over there than I do in the US. It's all too easy to get drawn into a false sense of security over here

I use a 10x20 camo tarp under the tent, wrap up over the back and suspend at the tent top, then suspend to form overhead cover. Adding local vegetation would make it really stealthy. You really need a solar charger for your laptop. A "12 volt" panel actually puts out more voltage in direct sun. Laptops need about 16-17 volts to charge. Finally see you eating something that looks edible.

Hey Joe, English Lit was my major. "The Grapes of Wrath" huh? Weeelll I don't know as I'd wanna move from Fitzgerald to Steinbeck, all at once, lol. How do you deal with the animal life and reptiles / Snakes in the area where you camped. I worked in construction in FLA for a while. Rattler and coral snakes were always something we looked for and cleared at the building sites. We did a search every morning. Every work day.. Sometimes they were there, most times not, but better safe than sorry. Alligators weren't as common unless we were building near a drainage ditch, small river/creek, or swampy area. Good video.

The camouflage problem. Have you looked into spray plasti-dip? They have camo colors and it dries like rubber. I use it on the bottom of my tent to help seal that cheap tarp material a little better. I've also used it on my old Joe Rocket jacket and it's held up well. I haven't tried the Rust-Oleum fabric spray, so I'm not sure it will give you the same rubber finish. I'll email you a link.
