I took my road test today for the third time and I finally passed. I think this woman was the one who tested me. She was so friendly and made me calm! She was amazing.

The woman in this video was the sweetest woman I’ve ever met at the DMV. I failed my first due to the older woman there that has a bad attitude due to a brake light being out. Congrats on passing. Be safe out there as people are now crazy on the roads due to the pandemic.

This videos is awesome and helpful. I DID MY TEST TODAY AND I PASSED 💪. Don't get nervous is not too hard. Just pay attention and don't forget to turd your head when you go back. And make sure everything works in your car or you can use someone's else car.

12/13/2023: took my test here -- it was nothing like the video. They changed it back to a road test. The entire course was actively being worked on with construction and there was a lot of bumper-to-bumper traffic. Instructor was a young, uncommunicative girl. Staff inside were incredibly rude to me even though I was as polite as possible. I had to write them a negative review. I got my license but I recommend trying a different location before coming here.

you have to wait 2 months after obtaining your permit then you can attempt the road test.

I have my test in 2 days. I’m hella nervous because English is my second language and I’m afraid I won’t understand. Also did you need to bring the same papers like prove of address and all of those things needed for the permit? Would you also need to bring that for the road test? Or you just go in and say that you have the drivers test? . Thank you for this video it was so helpful!

Hi Elsy, My husband took all those papers in his road test just in case if they ask. But they don't ask. You can still take those. Today is my road test. They ask for your learners permit, and they will give u a form to fill up. U fill up the form. Wait in the line. Then when u go to the counter they ask u to read letters to check your eyes, take your photo. You Must take your car registration papers, and a licensed driver with you. I understand how it’s like to pay attention to English as second language. But please pay attention what the examiner is saying, if required ask the examiner to repeat. You can tell the examiner ahead that- "mam/sir, English is my second language, can you please be SLOW when you explaining me things?" Good luck!

Update: Elsy, They ask for only learners permit and car registration papers. And the proof of address, passport or other documents are already there scanned in their system from that day when u first applied for learners permit. I passed today. Hope you also pass. :) They will give you two forms, one u will fill up and the other will be filled up by the licensed driver u take with u. He/she will basically acknowledge with ✔ mark that u can do certain maneuvers. Then you Sign both forms. If u are a citizen and want to do a real ID then take your current address proof, US passport/citizenship document and learners permit (already with u). That's it. Tips: u have 3 minutes, and it’s enough time to do each maneuver. You will always keep your foot on brake pedal and always slowly release the brake. If you slowly do it, then u can get enough time to think and do your every move, to get better control and to move your car nicely in this seemingly tight space. But the space is enough 13/14 feet wide (one cone from another when u park) you will realise it in your exam day. I used to practice with shoe boxes, and i practiced with 11 feet width to get confidence. In the first portion of the exam the lady asked me to turn on turning signals, headlights, hazard light, set the gear to reverse and park. Read the descriptions of this video.

Do you have to use your turn signal when you use the u turn and the 3 point turn

I used my turn signal on any turn that I made. And would suggest that you do that to prevent any failures.

@@viizie hey, my test was actually this morning and I passed! I’m sure you will get the hang of it. I recommend going out to an empty parking lot and practicing frequently, if possible. Adjust your left and right mirrors to where you can see the side of your car. It helps you in reassuring that you’re staying in between the lines! I wish you the best going forward :)

Not sure how long they will continue this type of testing but it’s way easier than the instructor sitting next to you. It’s definitely shorter as well

So you can make corrections but if you need to reverse park and you go forward to make an adjustment you will have points deducted. I’d practice that as much as you can as well as make sure to use all your mirrors and not just a reverse camera if you have one. Basically she stated that my car checked out for the physical inspection. She had me turn on all lights and indicators, made sure my windows work and that my horn and inspection were valid and working. She then provided me my registration back and said I was ready to test

No testing on the actual road. They set up the parking lot for testing as they don’t want to be in the car with you due to covid. This is exactly what you will be doing.

@@-AlexVlogs- funny thing is I installed a backup camera on my car a week before my test. I didn’t need it but wanted to use it for distance checking to make sure I didn’t bump anything. They didn’t say anything. But when backing up you need to look at your mirrors. Just keep checking your mirrors and when you think your getting close to bumping something just check your screen quickly

@@-AlexVlogs- No, it’s not cheating, it is 2022 not 1945, there’s a federal law that mandates newer vehicles to have backup camera, backup cameras are so useless in parallel parking it shouldn’t even be considered cheating

I actually got rejected the first time because one brake light was out. Everything on your car has to work. All lights, windows, mirrors, have to have up to date safety and registration on the car or your out of luck

You have to be in the car by yourself. Not sure if it’s different when you need a translator when testing. I was not licensed at the time so someone had to drive the car all the way to the DMV and then they had to drive the car to the start of the driving course before I could sit behind the wheel.

You can’t drive yourself with a learners permit, an adult who has a drivers license must be with you while you drive, your brother in law can’t just drop you off and leave 1. He has to be with you to give the examiner his drivers license and car registration and insurance. 2. What if you fail who’s gonna drive the car home ? Even if you break the law by driving yourself home with a learners permit you don’t have an insurance which is a felony, why are people so stupid ? You’re gonna be a driver but don’t even know automobile laws. That’s like buying a gun without knowing the gun laws in your city or state or even federal.

I recently moved from Texas to Virginia and had already obtained my learner's permit in Texas, but when I arrived in Virginia, they informed me that I needed a Virginia state learner's permit. There are very few appointments listed on their website. It's so frustrating that they'd rather make silly KZbin videos than make appointments. Rather than wasting people's time, they could create an online learner's permit.

the test has to be proctored by a licensed individual by law, you can go in without an appointment and have been able to for 6 months. they still have appointments available to make it easier for people though.

You sound extremely stupid. You only have a learners permit which isn’t a driving license, of course you have to adhere to the laws of the new state you just moved to. That’s like having a concealed carry permit from Texas, move to New York and expect the state of New York to acknowledge your permit
