I think DMZ is one of if not the best side gamemodes of any call of duty. Spec ops was fun, but the most of it wasnt MP. I think Proximity chat really made DMZ pop aswell, proxy chat made a lot of things 10x more fun.

DMZ brought me back to call of duty after leaving for Battlefield. Hands down the best mode to support multiple play styles and interests. If you want PVP go hunt. If you want missions, you're covered. I like that it's the most accessible extraction shooter out there that's easy to learn.

It actually had a purpose, and I wish that if it does come back, they should integrate more kinds of loot and valuables to extract. Imagine like a trophy room of some sort where you hunt and collect valuable items.

@@sternwardboss My guess is because of his reach - regardless of game correlation he has a pretty large reach within the gaming community overall. Mainly extraction shooters like Tarkov but nonetheless very influential. Also Activision has proven alot over the last few years they're trying to get as many new players as possible on board with these new releases to maximize profit margins. Personally I really hope to god DMZ doesn't return. If they wanna do a separate working title similar to what was done in DMZ sure, however taking focus away from multiplayer and zombies during Black Ops 6 would be a very bad move considering a lot of peoples loyalty to COD is on whether this new title is gonna be any good. SBMM has already driven a lot of players away just by itself.

here is the high copium: Since MWIII was originally planned as DLC it makes sense they didnt develop any DMZ content for it, as Sledgehammer wasnt planned to prepare for it at all. Since, they where under the impression that it is Warzone content, so Ravensoftware would have to deal with it. but due to the messed up timeline the actual new dmz content would have to be delayed. So to ensure the release of DMZ fullversion is perfect they save it for BO6 the actual planned next COD installment from the start. Since again MWIII was a planned DLC not a planned mainline game. So On the activison dev timeline originally DMZ was always part of every fullrelease COD. since MWII+MWIII one cod and than BO6 one cod. Does my rambling make sense?

You have a good point about Pestily, but there's a caveat... And that is whoever manages the marketing team at COD seems to be really out of touch with the creators they interact with. I'll give you an important example: Nickmercs. I'm sure you know about the controversy that happened, but I'm not referencing that - I'm talking about the events before that occurred. Before it happened, Nickmercs hadn't touched warzone for over a few months because he hated it. He frequently voiced his criticisms and displeasure with the direction the mode had taken. In fact, he was mostly playing Apex at the time and had quit Warzone until he was contacted to partner with COD to make a skin. I don't know why the marketing teams chose to partner with Nickmercs when he had literally forsaken warzone. The controversy only added fuel to the fire. Pestily was obviously paid to promote that, so yes it means one of two things: either DMZ is making a return, or the marketing team is simply out of touch yet again. I don't doubt it's the latter.

Been playing COd since 2007, played pro locally in SND tournaments till 2013 and then stepped away. DMZ got me hooked on COD again at this point I probably have over thousands of hours in playtime by now, hundreds of $ spent on operators. Activision would be straight up stupid not to bring back DMZ, the only reason it didn't hit the desired numbers is Activision didn't market it to the right audience

Maybe one of the reasons is cause they wanted a full year to improve it and get it out of beta and that’s why it didn’t move to MW3. So they got Treyarch to throw in MWZ which honestly wasn’t horrible but with lack of updates and the only content was real grindy missions made it less fun. DMZ needs to have an anti snowball. Once players finish the missions they just grief those that are casuals or started later, I player with some of them and it’s not better they have nothing left to do. It’s like mp and people not playing objectives. More players you kill you get ai jug to track you. Or they bounty those players. This could help with the camping exfil or mission locals. Finish the missions have a completed lobby. DMZ got really toxic and people were 6maning to beat on players. There is less stress once you get a second insured and no fear with the third. Don’t penalize new players with one slot. Maybe player hunting causes loss of insured slots. They should also add in challenges for the week that are random. Beat the chemist or boss. Just don’t make us collect 50 items. 10 20 is fine. Events should come monthly or add in a beta mode where stuff is tested, night modes, no insured slots, zombie, no extended mags, mutant and maybe a hardcore or pistols only.

Computer programs that interrupt the internet signal to the game because you're using a PC as your hotspot and they manipulate the signal to lag people out. If you haven't run into it I have a hard time believing that. Perhaps you're one of them? You'll never admit it and you can say or not but I don't believe you. Most streamers KZbinrs are the cheaters

@sternwardboss oh insane is an understatement lol.my best story is I was running a 6man and we were gearing up after a fight at a buy station in hydroelectric.what we didn't notice or cared about was there was an exfil one building in front of us and another 6man was camping that xfil.well another fight started on both roof tops.both team were are taking hit and it was chaos because of proxy chat.then both teams noticed the opposite team was taking sniper fire from the top of caves and we were taking sniper fire from observatory. We formed a peace treaty with the team we were fighting sent plates and revives to the other rooftop team and beat the 2 other 6man teams.in the end it was a 12 man exfil everyone laughing and couldn't believe what just happened.

I big reason why they didn't bring DMZ to MW3 is because they made MWZ, which is DMZ esk with zombies. I dont think MWZ is returning to in BO6, so it's definitely plausable.

ON1C averages 1200 viewers and Phix gets close to 2000, if they play MW3, it's automatically under 1000. I play DMZ daily, even after finishing all missions, etc. it's still such a fun game, I'd love to see it come back but I'm ready for Hazard Ops for something fresh.

Mwz was an obvious copy/paste of dmz. Especially with the useless loot that was used for crafting at the buy in dmz and nothing in mwz. I was sure they woulda have brought dmz to urzikatan bc of that, but they didn’t. Maybe mwz was used to test other mechanics for dmz and you’re right, but something tells me it’s dead

DMZ has produced some of the best clips and times I have had since og black ops. Playing with more than 1 is insane and fun and playing solo is intense, terrifying, and so different it's like two different games. I hate the slide cancel bunny hopping cringe and hope it stays out. It's already frantic and retarded enough.

Since DMZ in MW was a failure. It never got updates. I HIGHLY doubt it will return. The only reason anything returns if its successful. We may have liked it but the majority of the player base did not play DMZ. For that reason, it will not return.

my Thoughts is when Hawk Ops comes out, Im giving it a go, if its good Activision has messed me about to NEVER come back no matter what they do. they break the game more than fix it, they are just out to take your money, and they have no Customer relationship skillz what-so-ever. Just hope Hawk Ops is what DMZ is, I was happy to spend money on DMZ operators, skins, guns, kit (all DMZ stuff I payed for, Now I will not spend a penny on Activision as they have proven just a crap company) so I will take my money and vote if Hawks is good, otherwise I will play DMZ till it dies or till something comes up better.

Although I'd love it, I doubt it. As for pestily he's a CoD Partner, that's all, it's part of the hype! They are removing the backpack mechanic they introduced in WZ2, it's gonna go back to the OG WZ System. Also DMZ was IW's project and with all of IW's backlash (which I disagree, but that's my opinion) I doubt it'll come back any time soon, possibly in the next IW Iteration but I doubt anyway. As for a financial point of view I have to agree with you though I have like 10 operators , and RN me and my team's missions are to get 10 perks on all of them, and it's a better WZ than WZ (also, in my opinion), it's more tactical, you have to think before taking action most of the time. It's overall a better game! But I remember from the WZ2 Era, player wise there were always more streamers on WZ than on DMZ , and viewers as well, and they (Crappyvision) Also focus on these stats. But oh well, let's see what happens!

DMZ is the only game mode I play. Hopefully with dmz2 they come in with heavy anti-cheat. I will not purchase another call of Duty title until DMZ is brought back.

Hilarious to see some people are just delusional af.... They're then removing the backpack feature in B06's integration with Warzone it was confirmed by Leaks.. so the possibilty of DMZ making a comback is not very likely to happen they're also bringing back the Warzone 1 Looting system so having a backpack in Warzone should i call it 4 would be stupid af as Warzone 1 had the Armour Satchel System where you can only carry 8 plates and not FUCKING 16/20 like WTF that makes Warzone not fun and too much outplayability options from your enemy. 1 sec u break their plates 2 secs later they plated up again whats the point.. In Warzone 1 if you caught someone off guard with very little plates in say like he last circle or he only had 3 that guy was dead AF unless he had a Armour Satchel.
