I’m literally going to watch all your videos before I sit my A2 exams. I’m so glad I found your KZbin channel because you explain everything so clearly and concisely which makes it so much easier for me to understand all the topics. You’re a legend Miss Estruch!

I don’t get why the phosphodiester bond is represented as one (bold blue) line if it’s actually 2 lines (2 ester bonds)?

Hi your videos are so so helpful, thank you! Do we need to know about purines and pyrimidines? I can’t find them on the spec but was taught about them in class.
@MissEstruchBiology3 жыл бұрын
Hello, no, that is not on the specification but it could be useful beyond the specification information for the essay on paper 3.

I was taught about purines and pyrimidines but can't find this on the spec - should I still learn it? Great videos by the way :)
@MissEstruchBiology4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Purines and pyrimidines are often taught as extra information, but it is not on the new AQA specification that you need to know about them so you would not be questioned on them in an exam.

@@behappy1452 Hello, I don't remember seeing it a question, but if it was it would be considered an application question and something that would be possible to answer using the information provided. Some teachers may discuss it (I used to also in lessons) to give a more detailed understanding of the process.
