Getting on a bit Vinny, you are a youngster, I am old enough to be your Dad, glad you had a great trip. Have you fished the lake I set up back in 2002 (Etang des Moulinots), but I retired in 2012. If you are struggling to lift 50's at your age, then some of the fish in Moulinots might damage your back, anyway all the best for the future!!

I haven't fished it yet bud but would love to visit at some point. Agree I'm still young compared to many anglers but 200 games of rugby league takes its toll !! Tight lines.

@@Hyperraj1 Thank you for your answer. I am not a fisherman but my Franche-Comté region is famous for its trout rivers (Haut Doubs, Loue, Dessoubre...) and sport fishing of massive catfish (silure). There are some carp fishing places in the Plateau des Mille Étangs in the north (near the famous Tour de France climb "planche des belles filles").
