Strategy was the key, Pat Cummins was better in terms of strategy than Rohit Sharma / Rahul. You cannot play finals like league games. You need to have a different strategy when you enter finals. Rohit Sharma playing at 47 should have immediately changed his gear to play for 100. Pat Cummins and team were not relying only on bowling or batting, they took into account fielding, pitch and adapted themselves to it. Playing according to situation is the best strategy.

Two things which can be done to give equal opportunity to both teams. 1.The toss should not give advantage to any team. The pitch should not change for 100 overs. 2. If Dew is a factor then why is it mandatory to keep day and night match. You can keep day match or start match 2-3 hours earlier to avoid due giving advantage to team batting second. 2019 world cup final was a day match.

Partially agreed with shoib, Australia would have still won even if they would have batted first even ,Aussies have Elite & champions like mentality which is being instilled in them and it is something that cannot be learnt , there players and they are the most commited team to play for country over any other fuddu league that exist in cricket more than any other team and they play fearless cricket with right balance of attack and defence as per game situation unlike timid and stat based cricket like our overated fuddu players do . I felt we did not attack enough, no slip when spinners were bowling. There was also an edge which went to slip against Labushane of kuldeep bowling but there was no slip. Also there was an edge of Head batting against Jadeja and there was no slip again. We did not keep more fielders inside the 30 yard circle which allowed both batters to take easy singles and build partnership.

- Bowlers did their best given the low total and pitch conditions. - Mindset and Character might be a problem for Pakistan and Shoaib Akhtar, not for Bharat. Otherwise, we wouldn't have won 10 matches straight, beating New Zealand twice, including the semi-finals knock out match. - Essentially the two young batsmen Shubhman Gill and Shreyas Iyer could not take the big stage pressure. 40 Runs more and around 280-290 and it could have been a different game. But both of them only made 11 runs combined as top order batsmen. - Bumrah was unlucky withTravis Head. He had a few close saves. That is luck, that is natural. If luck was on the other side, and we could have gotten another 2 wickets in the first 10, then even 240 could have been defended. And then we would be praising Team India for the character, fighting spirit, mindset and so on.
