I used to ride scooty (yamaha ray z) and I directly jumped onto duke 390 and i also learnt riding bike on it. It is quite manageable and people who say it has a lot of power yes it does but if you don’t accelerate too hard it will not be out of control. One can go with 390 as even a first bike just make sure during the engine break in period don’t rev the bike beyond 6000 rpm as it will teach you how to control the bike

Whereas in foreign countries they consider 400 cc bikes as beginner bikes but tbh in the end it all depends on the rider since everyone knows their limits and obviously the limits do increase with time so stay safe no matter what bike you ride ❤

You are right bro duke 390 isn’t a big deal in other countries. Its only power is in its initial after 100 is slow. As a person who rides a z900 i can say duke 390 is fun to ride but not fast

Their roads are wider, longer and they have less traffic. The traffic moves much faster too, so anything below 300cc can't even keep up with traffic.
