Fun fact: One of the main signs that someone is comfortable with someone or likes being around them and wants to get closer is subtle touches. Things like brushing against someone’s shoulder or really just making excuses to touch them. Touch is a sign of trust and closeness between friends and partners. Edit bc I need to yap: People will subconsciously protect their sensitive areas when around people they don’t trust or aren’t completely comfortable with, like the neck and wrists (for more sensitive people any exposed skin really). Crossing their arms and trying to distance themselves and be polite. Unexpected grabs and hugs from behind or out of sight is a big no and usually spooks them quite a lot. Yet you see Dream doing the exact opposite with George. The hand grabbing when he might hurt himself, the gentle waist touches as he walks by, a direct hug from behind (though he was kind enough to announce it). George doesn’t even react, even though he’s the more touch-sensitive one. Doesn’t even look down when Dream touches his waist and is un-phased when his hand gets yanked away from him when he sees it’s Dream. Even trusts him to look at his hand when he thinks it’s hurt; literally more vulnerable than usual.
