Sa title pa lang, alam nyo na ang ending ng ride natin dito sa 600km Audax La Union. Ano ba ang nangyari?
Ito ang unang beses na nag-DNF ako, simula nung una kong pagsali sa Audax noong 2015. May ilang pagkakataong muntik na din, pero nadaan ko naman sa tyaga. Pero iba din kasi ang sitwasyon na ito.
Gayunpaman, naenjoy ko itong Audax La Union. Konti lang ang participants compared sa mga popular na venues, pero dahil dito, parang naging mas intimate ang dating. Madami akong mga nakilala at nakakwentuhan. Ramdam mo na nasa isa kang community ng like minded people.
Gusto kong ipaabot ang napakalaking respeto ko sa lahat ng mga participants, lalong lalo na sa mga sumali ng mahahabang distances. Congratulations sa mga finishers! Sa lahat ng nakakwentuhan at nakasabayan, maraming salamat, kita kits na lang next time!

Thanks for the talk , right before the first climb … DNF din ako. Nasa gitna ako ng second climb, decided na akong umayaw., pride na lang nag tulak sa akin makarating uli sa Baguio checkpoint; 10:30pm ng gabi. .. halos wala ng lakas.. Then I downhilled alone , towards awesome hotel ; in the pitch dark midnight. Report my Last checkpoint ; DNF… Congrats pa rin sa atin. .. see you next time..

@ sinasabi lang ng mga coaches. Learn from mistakes. Saan nagkaroon ng lapses, Nutrition, hydration, equipment, higit sa lahat training. Best of luck you can do it..

hi sir, i feel you. also DNF pero last May 2024 Audax 600 Subic. suffered achilles injury buti hindi ko na pinilit pang tapusin kung hindi, baka natuluyan na maputulan ako ng Achilles. still recovering as of this writing. bawi tayo sa susunod na season. ride safe and God Bless always.

1300 participant here, dnf at Labrador Pangasinan pabalik ng San Fabian CP. Maraming tukod din ako sa 2nd ascent sa Baguio, nursing cramps at every switchback. Puro pahinga. Balikan natin to Sir

Maybe you nurish yourself or refuel yourself too late or always delayed causing your body to produce brain fluid to burn calories even if some of them was your body cells. If calories are getting empty our body burn ourself to continue from working. . . And 2nd second was yeah your resting management.. it is important to manage resting... like active rest, non active rest, hydration and feeding our body with valories and ofcourse the vit and minerals. Some of junk food dont have many nutients and vit... compaired to vegetables and other glow foods. Eating vegetable are realy suggested for endurance recovery. Quicker than multi vits tablets. Like eating chopsuey, mongo especially with liver. Or meat. Long ride realy needs proper rests management and refueling. And most of all recommendation.. always ride nuetral speed when doing a audax 200km+... nuetral speed: like walking. Not jogging or running the crank like sprinter. Just a normal or minimal.. normal pace.. . Lowering speed pace is good especially when after a hard lactating muscles... . You need to reduce the speed or crank speed by 25%. Or maybe maintain the 150bpm heart rate... if you get recovering then your nutrition and hydration and resting management are working well. But if is not then you are over doing yourself. Me the fastest cheat on endurance ride is to maintaine the 150bpm .. inclined declined flat... what so ever i dont endure my muscle group. I dont sprint 8 dont over joy myself but a patience or selfcontrol from boring speed... heart rate is better basis than speed checking.
