Depending on torque horsepower curve short shifting may actually pick you up. But I guess you just found that out😂

Just a tip from a braket racer... if you are to fast the last 50 feet of the track give the gas 3 fast rips and that will slow you down a couple numbers
@DNRAuto9 ай бұрын
Thank you!
@DNRAuto9 ай бұрын
When you say numbers you mean tenths or hundredths or?
@kumpf19899 ай бұрын
A faster bracket car 1 rip will only take .005 each rip at the finish line. The earlier in the run you do it, the more it will scrub off. Also the slower the car the more 1 rip will affect it 1 rip in a 13sec car could take off a hundredth or more. You just hafta play with it a couple times and see how much it scrubs off

I think it’s a little funny & really interesting that both sets of people (you & Billy) both pretty much said it was differences or not agreeing on whatever but still neither of Ya’all will even get the others car on camera. I’m not 100% sure but I’d say this is literally the first event both of you come to & still ain’t neither mentioned or looked at each others direction

You're going faster when you short shift because you're shifting in the power band...when you run up the rpm it slows down because you are past the power band and not making power...rpm is not always your friend..

I assume you are keeping your fuel levels the same with each pass? Nothing in video indicates that and I was just making a suggestion to improve your consistency... Anyways, good luck and keep her straight.
@DNRAuto9 ай бұрын
Well we can’t trust the gas gauge so what we have been doing is filling up in the morning right before the track everyday
@JonathanReed19709 ай бұрын
@@DNRAuto Sorry man, but you need to fill up after each pass then. Thats what I would do. 5 things to help consistency: weight (fluid levels ie: gas), tire pressure (checking at same time in shade preferrably), tranny temps, driver or driver input, and weather. Obviously you cant control the weather but everything else you can. Then you want to develop a consitant routine after each pass until your next pass. Hope this helps.

You’re allowed to have as many passengers as you can fit, Brandon just films Dave and I do everything car related
