After clearing imu cet exanination if you have sponsorship you can get admission into colleges and do bsc in nautical/ diploma in nautical science. After that you will have a training program on the ship that which previously the shipping company that sponsored us, after that you should crack 2nd mates examination then you wil get a government certified certificate of competency then you will promoted as a third officer who works on board in ship.
