5:25 There is no such thing as a lightweight German spec😂 It's just a very early m3 that came to SA with no sunroof , cloth comfort seats and no airbags i.e a base spec car.

Hey , this is not a German spec I don’t believe anyone said so , this is part of the first m3s that came to South Africa correct . They were made in a lightweight specification. They weighed about 40kgs less than a normal m3. This was done by removing airbags , crash support bars , electrical motors in the seats , sunroof etc etc. These were not “options “ you could remove when ordering a car . These cars were made in this spec for a race series that never made it off paper. You can read about it in the car magazine 1994 February issue , or even Top car December 93/ Jan 94. They do a full review on these
