Do AirPod Pros Suck?

I have now tried airpod pros twice and both times I have had the same impression. They just s u c k

By no means are they terrible! Definitely not as deep and rich sounding as other buds I’ve tried. And I’m definitely spoiled using over the ears all day for my editing work with much bigger drivers.

Finally, someone that doesn’t think the AirPods Pro 2 sound good. I agree that they sound like trash compared to the first gen, they lack clarity and sound muffled. Huge disappointment.

I'm an audiophile, personally i've tried many TWS buds and these sound the best. Most people associate "normal" with bad. And i think this is what you're doing. Most TWS buds I've tried are either way too muddy or the treble overpowers anything. APP2 are the only ones that have neither of these problems, and I love them. I respect your opinion, just I find that the more you explore audio as a whole the more you'll appreciate the airpods pros.

I respect the way you went about this comment a ton haha. Also a very good point about associating normal with bad. Maybe I can revisit them in the future or try out whatever Apple has planned for the 3rd gen of the Pros. Hoping those will fit my ears better because the ecosystem of my other Apple products with the Pros was unmatched.

AirPod Pro’s battery lifespan sucks. My battery died pretty fast just shortly after 1 year of light usage.

I hate my Pro2, they keep falling off my ear no matter which dome I use. I never had this problem with the ones with the long stem and without rubber domes. What's up with these ones?????

I have the AirPod Pro Gen2 and the AirPod 3 and my pick all day every day are the Gen3. Incredibly comfortable and tighter bass. To be fair your comments about the sound is slightly dramatic. The sound is definitely up there and even better than some over the head headphones.

I’ll have to give the 3rd gen AirPods a try then! Biggest reason I’m so harsh on the pros is because of their price point but they’re far from a total let down.

I have the 1 gen AirPods Pro for about 2 yrs now. It works just fine, although the transparency mode sucks !

Glad they’ve been working for you for so long! Transparency was the first to go on my gen 1s too but as long as they still sound good for you that’s what matters.

Airpods pro when i bought them 2+years back, noise cancellation(90% noise cancelled) and music used to feel soo good but the over the time i felt like they deliberately downgraded it via these software updates

That’s one of my biggest issues, was my experience with the longevity of the first ones. They started out ok but the drop off in overall sound quality was crazy in a short period of time.

@@AustinDavisYT yeaa and durability is not good , after 13 months left pod stopped charging luckily i took extended warranty so apple replaced it...one thing i observed(personal opinion) not to put any case cover coz the heat messes up the way it works, so been using with no case no issues so far 14 months and running...but next time wont buy airpods will look for something else with great music , anc and durability And im a person who handle products with care

My criticism of the pro 2 are comfort when using for a long period of time and I don’t find them particularly loud.

They actually sound pretty great if you actually know to turn on HEADPHONE accommodations and set up spacial audio.....ppl complain cause they barely know how to OPERATE them COMPLETELY to be able to get the MOST out of them🤷🏽Ive helped so many ppl make their airpods pro 2's sound WAY better than they did out the box💯💯INVEST IN SPINFIT TIPS📚

I’ve done my fair share of playing around with them and agree I could probably make them sound better if I tried harder. I’d rather just get an earbud that sounds great out of the box without me having to tinker with settings. Those ear tips I’m sure would help me a lot tho.

@@AustinDavisYTMost QUALITY earbuds come with an app so most likely you'll have to do those things anyway....idk why you would expect an earbud to sound good straight out the box.....that's just unrealistic 💯

It's expensive, but some 3rd parties make custom fit tips where you get an audiologist to scan your ear and they can make something that fit you own ear perfectly and they should not pop out or cause as much fatigue from wearing them. But yeah, I figure inner-ear style buds might just not be for you.

Im thinking you’re probably right. I bet if I had a custom fit I’d enjoy them a lot more. Cause I am a big fan of all of the functions they offer it’s just hard to enjoy them when they’re falling out all the time.

I’m very happy with mine but if you’re looking for better sound and fit try the B&O ex earbuds. They are spendy but WOW do they sound good! I have both

After a year or so they sound shit and are a pain in the ass, crackle if they move in your ear and if you use the pause squeeze thing. I hate mine, got Sony headphones instead

Sounds like we’ve had similar experiences. The drop off was definitely noticeable on my first pair. I might have to go back to an over the ear style like the Powerbeats for the sake of them staying in my ears.

Yes I agree with you there fully. My first gens lasted about 8 months before sounding awful. Compared to my Powerbeats lasting about 4 years with great audio. Hopefully the Gen 2 Airpod Pros have much better longevity.

Hiya I’m looking for some advice I know auto play starts and stops music when both AirPods are in use, but when I just have one in my ear it doesn’t start stop music when I take it out? Does anyone else do that same please? Thankyou 😄

I had a similar experience with mine but most of the time I found that it would pause the music when I took a single bud out. Only a couple of times I noticed the music was still playing on my phone even with it out.

I purchased the foam domes (ear buds), using the smallest and my ear carnal hurts badly after a while. I never had this problem with the prior long steam ones that didn't have a rubber done.

Bass is a bit anemic but it's plenty enough dynamic. You're experiencing "brain burn-in" when you're used to how something else sounds and you use that sound as your "standard" and if anything sounds different your brain says it's worse. Not your fault, of course. Try having an open mind; maybe some different genres and tracks could sound better on the airpods pro 2s.

Did you experience constant static on both transparency and noice cancelation mode?

Transparency definitely more so than noise cancellation. Wasn’t necessarily constant but would happen off and on. Never was super clear tho.

If you have gen 1, apple will replace them for free under replacement program. I got mine replaced.
