Awesome showcase and weight comparisons busting the upgrade myth Brother Dennis 😜. True, and it actually rarely makes sense to throw in stiffer, heavier parts. The most durable cars I have had, were full of custom parts I designed and 3D printed myself with materials fitting the application. So some were PA12-CF, some were TPU and some were simply PETG. I have actually had a full M2C K6 EXB, because why not, but it really doesn’t make any sense, and isn’t really durable.

Yeah, people say crazy things bro, EXB arrma 7075 is NOT the same as certified CNC 7075 for towers and especially the chassis. M2C uses Bent sheets of raw 7075 for the chassis, that even better than some that uses CNC for the chassis, 1) stamped, 2)cnc from block 3) bent sheet of raw 7075.... Weakest is 1, then 2, then 3 I believe Arrma uses stamped 7075 if I'm not mistaken 🤔 And the weight debate is hilarious... A 6s rig is like 1.5pounds heavier than stock.... Maybe 1lb from EXB🤣.... Thats Sooo worth it IMHO Glad you liked video, hope your enjoying the channel brother, see ya round

But I am.on the M2C test team, and even before that I always lean towards products that add metal and strength innovation where needed. Not just metal Replacment parts. It has to be designed to help the rig, not just metal because you can. Not all Vitavon is like that for sure, some quality stuff. Nothing like Intidgy or GPM that just everything metal that makes no sence for Bashers, transfers shock and breaks other stuff. Hope that makes sense. I have the stock exb ( new to 5th scale ) I can say the A-D blocks , bell crank assembly , and the overkill outdrives were the best upgrades for a novice . Due to learning how the truck floats and learning the delay on throttle control from such a big truck . So far they have been holding up and taking my improper landings and , cough - 70 mile an hour cartwheels trying to drift on grass 😅. Great video ! Took a LOT of bench work out for guys like me in the upgrade process worried about weight and priority of parts to change 1st . Thanks for the video and the time and effort you put in to this ! Awesome vid!! So i got an k6s exb (love it), i noticed that the stock chassis is pretty light in comparison to an m2c chassis (340g vs 470g). Im very impressed by the overall durability of it, i've done some huge jumps and the chassis is still perfect. Plus, i think saving that much weight even keeps your temps down! (As long as i dont do full send skatepark upslope- ramp landings i dont need an m2c chassis😂)
@3SonsRC2 жыл бұрын
That's still only 4.5 oz of difference... Grams makes it sound so huge. That's 1/4 a pound.... Really nothing in the grand scheme. BUT if the EXB is holding strong for you keep rocking it brother. That's why I mentioned in the video that if you have exb chassis you MIGHT be ok for a bit, depends on how crazy big you go and how bad you land. When going over 100ft the M2C becomes more necessary. But keep going at it man, the EXB is a great start, the RTR chassis on the other hand starts bending at 60ft sends pretty easy.... Even with upgrades. Appreciate your time and support brother, hope your enjoying the channel, see ya round

Hay bro so I have a Kraton 8s EXB with a Max5 and 800kv motor and it constantly snaps rear drive shafts.. what do you recommend? I bash pretty hard (show off) 😊
@3SonsRC Жыл бұрын
Well if you're bashing pretty hard brother and I consider myself part of that group as well, the biggest thing that I see a lot of people doing with their RCS that bust drive shafts and drive cups and have all sorts of drivetrain issues is that they land under power, blipping the throttle right as they're Landing or sometimes they're just running fast in a field then they don't realize that the RC catches air a little bit and they're still on throttle and the RC only gets off the ground one or two feet, sometimes a couple inches but the wheels spin like crazy up in the air and then the RC lands back on the ground and that impact can twist and kill drive shafts, it's very hard sometimes to notice that but sometimes people blame the RC or the drive shafts and it's sometimes just what we're doing that causes the issue. Maybe that's not you, I know I've done it a couple times like this but I would say the biggest help to not busting drive shafts or pins would be to upgrade to the m2c ones they're hardened and a lot thicker the pins are the same size as stock but they're still hardened and stronger but the shafts themselves especially where they go into the ball point are much thicker. Hope that helps brother and I hope you're enjoying the channel, see you around

@3SonsRC2 жыл бұрын
Not sure brother. Did you get the new ones with darker pins? You talking about the Outdrives CVD right? Not the center ones?
@bhardison18692 жыл бұрын
@@3SonsRC not the centers, the outdrives. I have the ones before the black coating. But they have worn down in the front, probably going to push the pins out and upgrade to 4mm i guess. Had seen they had the replacements awhile back, now they're off the site so I bought 4mm lathe steel rods to cut, and push out to 4mm x 20mm. Popped 2 overkills pins this week. M2c should have really went with 4mm pins and matching cups instead of 3.5mm. I now have 8 beefcake shafts and 4 overkills all only needing pins Still hoping for the hardened diff cups like the 6s from m2c. So giving rc4wd 6mm and cups out of #45 steel and see how they go. Probably just go vitavon next round since they offer the oversized cups that you can use twice and 4mm pins. Have lots of m2c hop upside but I just cannot seem to keep the rear dogbone pins from breaking..🤘🏻🤙🏻

Yup,thanks why there going back to 4s an plastic,cause 6s an aluminum tear up bearings an gears an 40 series motors.
@3SonsRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your time brother. 4s rigs have always been plastic brother as it makes sence for that platform and size. Not sure those 4s rigs could go 150+ feet like we like to send our 6s and 8s Arrma rigs. Plastic and 7075 has its advantages and disadvantages depending on how it's used. Putting Metal Shock towers on the 8s Arrma's is Silly when the plastic ones are fantastic, but a plastic pan chassis on a 8s Arrma rig would have to be a complete redesign by Arrma to make that possible. The plastic chassis on the Xmaxx works but it handles no where near as well as an M2Cified Arrma 8s. Point of this was to show that 7075 when designed well and put is strategic places DOES NOT add much weight at all. Now Metal A Arms and stuff like that is a mistake IMHO. Thanks for your comment there friend, hope your enjoying the channel.... See ya round

You guys kill me with having no idea how brushless motors work . 800 KV lol the can size gives torque not the KV you can have a 4000KV motor with the same can . Unreal you still have no clue but what gets me on here isn't you don't know but act like you do witch makes clueless people wanting to learn the wrong info . 800KV sorry but funny anyone new don't do that takes so many volts to get the thing to move its just ridiculous. @3SonsRC Жыл бұрын
Relax bro, It's RC, don't come on here barking and insulting, we play with toys in our spare time. They way I had it explained to me is lower KV is like that low down torque (raw power) and higher KV is like adding HP or more top end speed, sure throwing a 4000kv motor will get more speed but you wouldn't dare throw a 4000kv motor on a 8s heavy RC, not enough power or torque to get er going. If I'm wrong, cool, so is most everyone in RC then, and your right, cool. No need to start insulting people. Have a nice day, hope you enjoyed the video though 😏

@3 Sons RC why is everyone so soft it's called letting u know . Test it yourself I know it's toys who cares it just KV is really nothing it's can size so if you have a 40 78 can say at 1050 KV and u have a 40 78 can that's 3600KV there's no difference in torque. You can just run a 5 or 6 S and have way more power and gear it way lower that's all I'm saying trying to teach you something that's it I care less .
