Thank you for sharing your adventures. I'm 66 and took skiing lessons as a kid. The ski instructor taught me how to fall. I recently fell off a ladder onto concrete, and my body having been trained knew what to do. I sustained only a small scratch. I recommend skiing lessons and practice in falling. Respect.

First, I’m very glad your fall turned out to be a worse scare than injury! I’ve a few thoughts on the site. The carved steps look like there might have been a set for ascending and another for descending. The ones with the deep carvings on the uphill side would make it easier to plant your heel first as you descended. Or, the different sets with the small and longer intervals between steps could be for adults and children. I thought the pile of rocks provided a way for kids to access the steps. At some of the larger pueblos, it’s clear Pueblo builders thought about children, and elders, and made accommodations for them. They built half-height walls along steep drop offs and plaza areas to prevent falls, and fenced small enclosures to contain creepers and crawlers.

I've come across places where I felt I was the first person there in hundreds of years. That was an amazing area to be able to see. Thank you so much because I certainly wouldn't ever be able to hike up there. I'm so glad you didn't get seriously hurt from your tumble! The "human" figure was very interesting and I see that circular area on its upper chest as having to do with his heart. The ancients knew how important that was. At 8:40 those little tracks with the two larger tracks and the one or two smaller tracks look very much like Rabbit tracks, or could be some other smaller rodent tracks such as Rock chucks etc I'm not sure what is in the area. And that strange thing made by taking a hammer stone and making tons of little dots looks like a river map to me, and the squarish things along them could be buildings or entire villas.. So much that I don't know but it is fun to guess! Edit: Those three Rabbit tracks are pointing up over the hilltop in a very specific direction, normally if it's just art would they not be made in a straight line pointing straight up? I think WE'D be inclined to do this. Could they be giving others directions to a good hunting ground for small game? And three tracks, a distance? They MUST have had some sort of signage and symbolism to express type, number and distance, I also noticed they took pains to leave great details in those tracks, they put claws in and even the fur which is unusual in itself right?

Totally random guess here: Related settlements on either side of the mountain, the carved steps mark the trade route across the most direct path between them. If that's the case, the platform may have been a resting place, maybe someplace to spend the night along the trail if it was more than an overnight trip between the two villages.
