@@godzsniperr6195 naturalization is only applied to you if you're in the military, assuming you're here legally. Now if your parents were illegally here, without ssn, id, etc. Your status doesn't apply to your parents, even if you're in the military or you're already a naturalized citizen. But if you're a naturalized citizen, you can sponsor your parents to be here legally. I'm not a lawyer so don't take my words for it. You can ask an immigration lawyer for detail how this works.

My recruiter was just telling me this today! While I'm in BCT, OCS, BOLC/AIT and Airborne school (hopefully) as long as I show proof of rent/mortgage, ill get BAH in addition to monthly pay!

@Remix God lol no they are not. while on active duty no matter your rank, if you pay rent or mortgage they give you BAH, if you have dependents tho you get it automatically.

@@asapant6502 I'm just an idiot savant. I studied up on the math and language sections to prepare, but the others I just happenned to know from life experiences. I worked maintenance at an apartment complex, which gave me the electrical and shop knowledge questions, and the auto questions came from running worn-out vehicles to death and having to pay for it. It's pretty amazing how much information is running past us in our lives. If you just take a minute to pay attention and be curious, you can learn an awful lot. I wish I had done that more, but what I did was enough for the asvab.

No, you just need to fill out a DA Form 5960 and get it to your unit S1, they should be able to help you.

All his money goes for shoes and video games. I was kind of thinking he'd have to show proof of expenses to get BAH. Am I right?

That's gonna depend on the base you go to but if you live in the barracks I'm sure you aren't going to get Fiber internet. haha You can definitely play but I wouldn't count on it being better than 200 Mbps down

Hey so idk if you’ve covered this but I gotta ask. So yesterday I was at meps and passed everything except the hearing portion because my left ear has very slight hearing loss. The commander at my recruiting station said he would try to get me a waiver because my score for the hearing was in the range that they’d accept you, I was just wondering how long could this process take to get a waiver and if I have a chance?

For example, your wife is going to get a dental surgery and needs someone there while she is sedated, and some dentists wont perform surgery unless there is someone there. Friends and relatives are good but they arent always available. Chances are things will go bad and you cant be there. Do you have to live near your parents and relatives? How to deal with them? Lol so much misinformation You don’t have to show proof of lease/housing in the reserve to receive BAH if you’re on orders for more than 30 days. Only exception is BOLC for officers. If you’re on orders for 29 days or less, you don’t “get half of the BAH.” It’s a pro rated amount that goes by your rank and has nothing to do with your home of record zip code. Also, you don’t have to be on orders for “at least 2 weeks” to get BAH type II. Any ADT or AT order amount will get you that
