Great video - I'm a West Hill member and very proud of our great course. As a heads up, the white stakes in the heather are not out-of-bounds stakes, they are there as a help to find your ball, as hopefully you can see it landing near to one. Also, fyi, when taking a drop, the rule is "nearest point of relief, but not closer to the pin". Keep enjoying your golf !

Great video guys as always very relatable golf. On the rules aspect one thing I noticed Dec did was on the 8th pick the ball up and cleaned it on his trousers then placed it back down in the middle of the fairway. This is a penalty stroke. But keep up the good work guys 👌

They are markers as a reference to find your ball. Not out of bounds. On the provisional point, you can continue to play a provisional until it goes past where you deem your first to be without having to continue to play the provisional if you find your first ball. If your provisional has likely gone past your first and you play it then your first is deemed lost even if you find it post hitting the provisional.

Pretty sure that once you've hit your provisional ball past the point that the first is believed to be it is in play. As in once you hit the prov again. So you can keep hitting the prov until you are hitting it past the point of the first. After that it's gone. That's still allowing for the fact that you only have three minutes to look for the first anyway

Just a question, if the ball is on the left or ride side of the box, should it not be dropped on that side of the box? So in this case, was Ron right bc they were a bit on the right side. They shoudl have dropped it on the right side (looking at the hole).

If you hit a provisional, I believe you have 2 shots on the provisional ball until the first is "declared" dead. OR if your next shot from the provisional ball passes your first ball if found, the first ball is "declared" dead. Also if you declare the first one as lost.

On the relief situation, pad's closest point was further in the rough not where he moved it to, but earlier in the round ron took relief off a path, it was longer than a club lenght and also the wrong direction, he should have dropped in the heather if he wanted relief.

Nearest point for relief was the fairway. You have to allow for the stance to be out of the GUR so the left would therefore be nearest.

Great content lads! You should always help each other look for a ball. Knowingly finding someone’s ball and picking it is muggy but i think picking up someone else’s ball would mean you concede the hole

You actually aren’t allowed to play your first ball if you hit the provisional. Once you play your 2nd shot with your provisional, you’re committed to that ball. So they didn’t cheat because they picked the ball up after that. However it’s very muggy to not help your opponents find their ball (although tbf I’d probably do that too if I was 3 down!)

As funny as the provisional ball bit was, Paddy doesn't have the rules strictly correct. 1) Once the provisional has been played from a location closer to the hole than where the first ball has been lost, it becomes the ball in play and the original ball no longer counts. 2) You do not have to look for the first ball, but if you find it unintentionally OR your opponents find it, you have to play it. I'm pretty sure someone fell foul of the rules here, whether it was Paddy for not calling it out or Dec for not playing the correct ball

In terms of the whole not telling the opposition you’ve found there ball yes you don’t have to but it’s not very sportsman like and if you have that mindset where if I see it I’m not going to say anything then you shouldn’t be helping look for it as opposition will see you covering an area and won’t check as your there helping. But over a done with now big win for padz and con with an unreal put there . Is be very interested to give you boys a game you can scramble and il use the slazzy set up 🎉

Get to the driving range with the V300! The one with the shortest drive after 10 shots has to use the cheap set for a full 18! Any shots that don't register or go OB deduct 10 yards from your worst drive! This has to happen!!
