Do F2P Players ACTUALLY Need Seele’s Signature Light Cone | Honkai: Star Rail

I think that the Forgotten Hall was an adequate testing field for the light cones, but I think it would be interesting to see a comparison between max superimposition Stellar Sea vs. In the Night in a future video. While the disparity between the base limited light cone for Seele, with it's emphasis on a need for speed vs SI2 Stellar Sea does make quite clear that the artifact was tailor-made specifically for her, I think that Max SI Stellar Sea will be a better value in the long run as it seems to be more generalized and easily swappable between other characters for a clear benefit to all Hunt characters regardless of SPD requirements. Seele's Light Cone is definitely insane for Hunt characters but it seems to take away so much account progression pulling for it. We only have about 20 days before Jing Yuan and he's a full character with what seems to be amazing DPS. To me supercharging a Hunt character with In The Night seems more like a luxury, specially when you take into account the fact that we get a free maxed Stellar Sea. The only time I'd reccomend doing that is if you got Clara/really like a Destruction character, cause then you can prioritize the other Herta Shop Cone. EDIT: For those who like to plan ahead there's even the fact that Jing Yuan doesn't have a Herta Shop option, so being on the lookout for HIS signature cone might be a way better deal.

Tbh am not planning to get him but i am saving for kafka since she gonna also be a character that can hit multiples so i made sure to het her light cone and tbh i d ont regret it a bit Its amazing❤

I definitely agree. If one is skipping jing yuan then it’s fine but otherwise it’s definitely a lot of pulls to try to get her + LC.

Jing's lightcone doesn't come off as crazy. As other people have noted, ‰dmg increase is much better than %Atk increase. You'd be fine pulling for Jing but his lightcone is less of a priority overall compared to seele's for usability

keep in mind that atk% on lighcone is complete trash, becouse it takes only the base atk of a unit , in comparison dmg% scaling actually multiplies the damage at the end of the calculation

I got lucky with in the night and man even with 60% crit rate seele misses to crit…in the night definitely helps a lot

I will be skipping it. I was definitely tempted, considering how my friends have all gotten it as well. However, my approach to this was to consider what else ~140 rolls could do for my account. Those rolls could potentially get me a light cone that doesn't have many f2p alternatives, or a light cone that is just miles ahead of its f2p alternatives. The fact that I can get Stellar Sea R5 in the long run compared to Night permanently stuck at R1 also made me hesitant to fully commit to the 75/25 in the light cone banner.

Think first prio would be getting good two teams with various elements and then worry about light cones. Plus in the future, there will probably be other crit light cones anway.

Neat, I do want her signature cone but the Stellar Sea is doing me okay, getting to rank 40 feels so far away and im happy with 30% crit and 116 cdmg. I just want better Ornaments for they're only +6 and 3* without anything crit related for her.

im f2p just using LC"cruising of the stellar sea" i got 64% crt, sometimes not critical but getting dmg skill in 3-4k, n burst ultimate getting in 23k-26k, what do u think about? dmg still not enough?

Tbh you should’ve also compared Cruising of the Stellar Sea with Swordsplay 4* Lightcone since I’ve heard that it’s potentially better than the free 5* one due to the DMG% gains, especially since most Hunt skills are multi hit and can get the passive stacked up easily If you’ve tested them, let us know how they compare to each other

Swordplay can likely be better in boss fights since you’re consistently hitting the same enemy otherwise I’d still say cruising, but I’ll try it today:) and come back to this comment or make a quick community post about it.

My main issue with swordplay is how it kind of just goes against seeles resurgence since you want to primarily hit the same target over and over rather than swapping between enemies

A stupid question, I am new to the game so does the shield of the enemy make them takier? Like is it needed to break the shield to deal higher damage? Not considering the bleed effects or the break damage, like is your damage higher for example when the shield is up compared to when you hit the enemy without shield?

It’s not a stupid question :0! Don’t feel afraid to ask anything. So the white bar makes them more tanky yes. You want to break the white bar so that you can deal more damage and deal with them easier 😊. For doing more break damage you would want to build break effect on a character. Some characters who are excellent for doing good damage once the meter is broken would be sushang, hook, etc. when you break the meter there’s always a “break” hit which does more damage and can do a lot depending on which character breaks them and how much break effect is built into them through relics/eidolons/ etc! Hope this helps :)

Damage increase is better yes, and subscribe for more does more damage for your normal atk and skill because of its effect. It’s really good. I’d say only flaw is no buff to her ultimate but it’s still an amazing light cone.

Also don't forget that seele's skill gives her speed boost by 25% so the you only need 137spd to get all the stacks you really don't need more it's gonna be way too overkill

i wanted yanqing to come home but i instead got his lightcone :’D good news is that my danheng is BUFF-30% Crit Rate and 100%+ Crit Damage. and given that yanqing’s lightcone gives crit rate per 3 turns if i remember correctly (i might be wrong, if so, my apologies!), danheng should have 60%+ (again, going off my memory here)

I'm definitely getting Seele's weapon; it is just so broken. I did summon 3 10x before, and I lose 75-25 pity, lmao. I got Yanging Lightcone which, btw, is pretty shit. I did, however, win Seele's 50-50 in 70 summons, so I'm fine with that. I also got my best girl Brook to e6, and her damage is just so fcking insane. I tried to think about my summons since the new guy is coming, but Seele is just so much better, with damage, and she is a Waifu, so I am focusing on her. Well, good luck to me; currently farming a 5-star relic at level 35, and it was hell. World 6 simulated universe took so much time to do. I finished every run, though. Anyways thanks for the video; it really helps me since part of me is doubting my desicion. Thanks~

Oh, also, the stats of Seel's Lightcone are basically insane, 36% more damage on skill and 72% on Ult dmg. It is also guaranteed Seele's speed alone is 125; with her buffs, it will get so much higher. Basically, you don't need speed boots on her; just look for crit boots. I guess, and get your guaranteed crit every single attack. I'm really excited about her light cone. Hopefully, I will get lucky. Note~ I already have Serval as lighting DPS, so I don't need the new guy at all, and the dude is pretty shit without his light. Nonetheless, I prefer Serval since she is so hot, and some of the reasons I played this game is because of the Waifus, so yeah. Waifu for the win.

This is exactly the video I was looking for today. It would be worthwile if you provided some numbers for example how much of an improvement to overall dmg in terms of % is In The Night compared to s5 Crusing. For example if I saw it's 5% increase or 25% increase it would make a decision a bit easier. All in all, I think I'm gonna pass on the weapon - I only buy Express thing so it's probably much more worth it to expand the character portfolio in the future than having 10% dmg increase.

I got 2 Seele’s (so my Seele has 15% more crit rate against targets with HP lower than 80%) with superimpose IV and stellar sea and with Bronya both buffs Seele can hit over 42k CRIT DMG on ultimate without full 5 star EQ. I will pull Loucha and I don’t know If I should pull Loucha lightcone or Seele lightcone… What do you think? DMG on Seele with her lightcone will be much higher than with stellar sea V?

I got it and I am f2p and the damage difference is noticeable in comparison to stellar light cone. I got like selee in 5 pulls so I am not the kind to have patience and at 12k jades it broke and I decided to go for her signature cuz I am gonna main her anyways and in 80+ pulls I got it and welt's signature. I mean I will skip jing yuan for kafka and kafka still has time to come so I got time to farm jades for her plus I got welt's signature that I can use for kafka so its a win win for me. If u want to get the weapon I will say u gotta be prepared to face the consequences IF u lose the 75/25 thing (which I did but I got extremely lucky and got it in 20 pulls) and also if u get it its not a waste u can use in the night for selee and stellar light cone for any other hunt character

Got her on my first 10 pulls (and my guaranteed was Bronya so...great team). I pulled for the light cone and got it today at 50 pulls. My mindeset is that even if I got the next 2 five stars (which I will pull only until the first purple or gold appear...meaning most likely purple and no more than 10) it would be a bit too tricky to build them all as a FTP....so I rather for now invest all I can in Seele until the new healer drops. I usually try to reroll for a good team and then save for quite a while...pays off in other games, let's see how it goes here.

I recommended cruising if you're f2p and dont really think f2p should aim for her lightcone unless you really like seele. This video is intended as a comparison to show the difference, but typically signature light cones would be better since they're well.. signatures lol. The question lies though, how much better is that light cone in comparison to alternatives.

You'll see a huge difference down the line when more people have seele built with better gear. E6/S5 character/lightcone don't affect base stats. Biggest boon comes from e2 seele with stacking speed boosts cuz she will hit 160 speed with minimal speed investment. Big takeaway is that in the night gives %dmg increase where as free 5* gives Atk. It's been discussed and mathed %dmg is better than %Atk

i got most of the comp in this team pretty early except for clara, but for bronya do you mean the 300 summons? I wouldn't advise using jade on that unless you're fine with spending. Personally though, I'd pick bronya over seeles LC since you can use alternative lightcones.

I am f2p. I am very lucky to have gotten seele. Cruising in the sea is very very good for her. The main thing I like about it is that you can max super impose it quite easily. In the night is better if equally super imposed but I dont know many who will pull enough to max it out.
